Filming on Netflix’s The Crown continues, and new photos have captured Elizabeth Debicki’s stunning transformation into The Princess Of Wales.

The Australian actress, 31, who is taking over the role from Emma Corrin, effortlessly channelled Princess Diana by opting for a camel coat – seemingly a signature piece in the late royal’s wardrobe – and thigh-high brown boots, teamed with white trousers and a matching high-neck jumper.

Completing the chic look with a check blazer under her garment coat and a stylish grey handbag, Elizabeth was seen pushing her way through the paparazzi after getting out of a replica of Diana’s Audi 80 Cabriolet in London, in photographs taken during filming today.

Although it’s not known what scene was being shot for this hit drama, The Crown’s fifth series will focus on the Royal Family’s history through the 1990s. It is thought the scenes are set after 1996, since Elizabeth doesn’t appear to be wearing a replica of Diana’s engagement ring. The royal wore this sapphire piece up until the end of her marriage.

The Netflix series The Crown has been known to bend facts in order to fit its story. While some artistic license is normal, critics are outraged at the rewriting and altering of history and relationships.
