Costa, Vegan Turkee, Cranberry & Stuffing Bloomer Toastie
£3.75
It was delicious.
A taste test would have shown me that this was not meaty. And I certainly wouldn’t have thought it was vegan.
You can enjoy a lot of fillings, all tucked inside a delicious bloomer. This is a superior option to the one I had with meat.
I’d definitely recommend. Chris Bridger – Lining
Costa Vegan Sandwich was highly acclaimed for its ‘loads and delicious fillings’ as well as being superior to beef.

There are no frills or tricks, only classic ingredients and an evenly distributed meat-sauce. This Boxing Day leftover sandwich is not as good as a supermarket one, but it’s close enough.

Merry Vegan Vegetable Morons
£2.50
Morrisons Merry Vegan Vegetable is the kind of sarnie you get when it makes you warm inside. It then gives you a kiss on your forehead when it shows that it has less than 400kcals.
Although the onion and sage bread are delicious, the vegetable fritter with red cabbage topped was simply too good. The last vegan sandwich you’ll ever find that tastes good is HALLEUJAH. – Kaya Terry
Although the onion and sage bread are delicious, the vegetable fritter with red cabbage layered on top was the real star.

Costa Turkey & The Trimmings Classic Toastie
From £3.65
It’s hard to know what is ‘classically Christmas’ in a cheese sandwich, and it makes me wonder if that’s even a good thing. The cheese bread is filled with wonderful fillings – bacon, turkey and stuffing. It is definitely indulgent.
This is a not-traditional classic but it’s still a great classic. It would be a pleasure to have another one right away. Chris Bridger-Linning

Tesco Turkey, Stuffing & Cranberry Sub
£2.75
Morrisons’ pigs-in-blankets baguette was disappointing, so I am happy to share my positive experience with Tesco’s turkey and stuffing.
The sub came out as advertised and was soft.
Tasty, filling and decent value at £2.75. Winner turkey dinner – Dan Holbrook

Tesco Turkey & Trimmings
£2.80
Tesco also had the Turkey and Trimms Wholemeal Bread Sandwich with Sage and Onion Stuffing.
More expensive than the sub at £2.80, it was good quality and tasty with again decent sized pieces of meat.
There was a good amount of mayonnaise in the mixture, giving it texture. This is unlike Morrisons’ fillings which were too dry or sandpapery.

PAUL Christmas Turkey Sandwich
£4.95
This baguette is an absolute winner, with generous amounts of filling inside a pleasant, crunchy, rustic-style baguette topped with cranberries.
Paul is proud of his fresh prepared meals. He uses real turkey and bacon, rather than the plasticy-flavored stuff in shop-bought sandwiches. A good spread of relish is the perfect finishing touch, keeping everything moist and not soaking into the bread. Rory Tingle
Rory loved Paul’s Christmas sandwich and raved about its ‘juicy turkey’ and ‘proper bacon.
Paul Stuffed with Stuffing Sandwich
£4.65
A veggie delight! Gorgeous, thick crusty sage and onion bread with a delicious sweet potato and chestnut stuffing, vegan pâté, and grilled carrots and salad.
In true festive style, it’s all topped with cranberry sauce.
This is a well-made product, but it feels lacking in the humani or protein found in turkey.
While the stuffing was delicious and crispy, it could have been better without the carrot. The carrot made it difficult because it fell and moved all over.
Overall, a delicious sandwich that will please both carnivores and plant-based friends. – Bridie Pearson – Jones

Starbucks A Toastie To Be Thankful For
£4.49
The Toastie to be Thankful for includes shredded ham hock, sliced turkey and a sprout, potato, cabbage and leek hash in sourdough bread – just like Boxing Day Bubble & Squeak with a touch of cheesy bread.
It was also delicious with cheese, cheddar and bechemal on top. This bread was a Starbucks panini, and it had a Christmas twist.
Its name made me wonder if it was more American, as it was a Thanksgiving-focused dish. However, it had some American sweetness and a smoky cranberry sauce that gave it a bit of a saccrine.
Overall, a great toastie that could be enjoyed with a cup of coffee on a cold winter morning. – Bridie Pearson Jones

This lobster is not a good name, but it was delicious.
The Marie Rose sauce and sautéed mushrooms was very moreish, so much so I almost consumed the whole thing in one bite.
The rocket green and cucumber added to the mix really made it stand out. It was complemented perfectly by the sweet brioche roll.

Starbucks Blitzen’s Blue Cheese & Chutney Toastie
From £2.99
A tasty lunch on the go – but the blue cheese is very strong, not one to go for unless you’re a big cheese fan.
It was completely filled to the brim with Blue Stilton cheese, grated mozzarella soft cheese, cheddar, and Emmental and the apple chutney gave it a delicious sweet kick.
An absolute cheese lovers dream! Blue cheese can be too strong for my taste, but it’s a wonderful choice for many. This is essentially a cheeseboard sandwich.
The entire dish was filled with blue Stilton cheese and cheddar soft cheeses, Emmental, Emmental, Emmental, and apple chutney. It had a wonderful sweet kick.
It is a perfect blend of soft cheese and the tartness of cranberry. There’s also an extra layer of spinach that keeps the cranberry not too sweet.

Brie & Cranberry is the best option at Christmas in my opinion, and this was a very worthy sandwich and a bargain price.
It is a perfect blend of soft cheese and the tartness of cranberry. There’s also an additional layer of spinach that keeps the cranberry fresh.
The only problem I had with the malted bread is its thinness and fragility.
This would have made a great sourdough!

Morrisons Market Street The Best Kingprawn Cocktail Ciabatta
£2.75
My expectation is that King Prawns will be small lobsters. They are at most Prince-sized. If we are being too harsh, they’re not very far from garden-variety prawns.
Morrisons has delivered a great sandwich.
A soft and chewy ciabatta is paired with crisp lettuce, which are both delicious in a flavorful, tangy sauce. Henry Martin
Crisp lettuce and soft, chewy Ciabatta are paired with a delicious, tangy sauce. Who wouldn’t be able to forgive a lesser-than-regal Prawn when it comes to a tasty combination like this? Henry Martin

Tesco California Vegan Christmas wrap
£3
Being vegan I don’t like anything that imitates meat. The pea protein and wheat protein were giving me the chicken vibes.
It was not too overpowering and packed a lot of flavor. I thought the vibrant pesto vegan mayo in this wrap was my favorite. It was the ideal combination of cool, smoky and delicious. T
The lettuce was crunchy and the tomato wrap was delicious.
This was not a Christmas wrap, as it didn’t give me a festive feeling.
The taste was almost like a Caesar salad, with some smoke. Although not festive, it is delicious.
Wicked has always been a favorite of mine so I expect no less.
It could be improved by removing the wheat and pea protein that reminds me so much of chicken, and replacing it with something more Christmassy. – Amie-Beth Steadman
