A new dating show on Channel 4 has sent Twitter users into a frenzy on both sides of the Atlantic after a clip was shared online showing the rejected women being dropped through a trapdoor.

The Love Trap sees 12 women trying to win the heart of one man – while he must uncover which six contestants are genuine, and which six are faking their feelings in order to win £50,000 at the end.

Once he’s made his decision, he dumps the women through the trapdoor – leaving viewers to label the British series as the most ‘brutal’ and ‘brutal’ dating show.

One person wrote: “Anyone else think The Love Trap was the best, worst thing that they’ve ever seen?”It was referred to as the “Squid Games of Love” by other fans.

Another viewer laughed: “People falling through the floor. That concept meeting took place at a pub.

A third person added: The Love Trap, when SquidGame meets The Bachelor’, while a fourth person wrote: The Love Trap might be my new favorite show.

Another admitted that he felt like they didn’t know this was coming. They’re just trying to trap people over there.

J’harie J’adore was one of the contestants who was brutally dropped down the trapdoor following an elimination. This clip went viral on Twitter this Week, causing both Americans as well as Britons to become instant fans of the show.

J’adore, who was ejected from the show last month, revealed that she had been in a six-year-long relationship with someone.
