Jay Blades is engaged to host The Repair Shop.
The presenter, 51, took to Instagram to announced he’d proposed to his girlfriend Lisa-Marie Zbozen with a ring specially designed by his co-star and goldsmith Richard Talman.
Jay showed Lisa-Marie a picture of her stunning ring. Jay said to fans: “Good afternoon, all. Lunchtime Treat. It is with great pleasure that I announce my engagement to @lisamariezbozen.

Richard, who is most well-known as the goldsmith for The Repair Shop’s Goldsmith, shared an Instagram shot of the stunning ring.
His words were: “It was an honor to make this engagement band for another member of my #repairshopfamily!” Congratulations to Lisa @lisamariezbozen & Jay @jaybladesmbe on your engagement!’

Jay and Lisa Marie, the CEO and founder of an online exercise platform on demand, received a lot of congratulatory messages quickly from celebrity friends and fans.

Jay’s engagement is his second following his marriage to ex-wife Jade, and the former couple share 15-year-old daughter Zola together, before splitting in 2015.
In February Jay revealed he hit rock bottom after his marriage broke down and his charity went bust – and he spent a week living in his car believing he ‘wouldn’t see tomorrow’.

Out of the Dark, the charity he founded in High Wycombe with Jade, the wife of Jade, the mother of his child, to give practical skills to disadvantaged kids, had to be closed after fifteen years because of cashflow problems.
Jay is also a father to two kids from previous relationships. He described how he got into his car, drove as far and fast as he could, until he had run out of gas, at which point he reached Wolverhampton. After that, he was essentially homeless for a week and ended up living in his car in an abandoned retail park.
Jay shared his story with Susannah Constantine, who is hosting her My Wardrobe Malfunction podcast. Jay said that he was so moved to ask a friend he had sold furniture to for advice.
“My marriage fell apart, and my business was sold. I also lost my charitable organization, as well as the young people that I employed. He explained that he was an important pillar of the community, where people could go and get support in multiple ways.

It’s not possible to get help from people you are strong for when you reach that point in life. Then they look at you and ask, “Hold onto, if you have to support us, who is going to support us?”
“The first thing I did was drive and get away from it all. Then I went on my way. Tomorrow was not a possibility for me. I cried my first time asking for assistance. I broke down. Gerald Bailey (my brother) was there and I broke down before him. That was my first ever time clinging to a man.
Jay admitted it took him a week to build up the courage to ask ‘successful businessman’ Gerald for £100 to buy food and ‘survive’ because he felt so much ‘shame and embarrassment’.
Jay is also set to star in the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, performing with professional dancer Luba Mushtuk.
