Hannah McSorley (@.baby.frogs) cared and posted videos of thousands of tadpoles under lockdown.
Hannah McSorley, posting as @.baby.frogs, cared for thousands of tadpoles during lockdown and shared popular videos showcasing their journey into frogs.
From Omagh, Northern Ireland the teenager rescued some frogspawn from near her home. She thought it would make a great educational project for Paul and she decided to keep them.
The frogspawn was kept in a mouth for a while, but soon the tadpoles were moved to a container and placed in a water-filled paddling tank in the garden.
Last year, when recording their journeys, the teenage recorded that she didn’t expect the videos to be as well-received.
She told Metro.co.uk: ‘I had posted the odd baking video but it was never overly popular. ‘I’d never seen a frogspawn TikTok but I was using it to educate my younger brother and I thought others might want to see the process too.
‘The reaction has been crazy. I have followers from all over the world and I’m just so grateful that everyone tunes in and watches them.’
Hannah was able to get advice from both the British Wildlife Association online and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency directly.
