An eye condition that left her blind at the age of 80 has led to a teenager sharing how her makeup tutorials have helped her gain 226k followers on TikTok.
Elley Davies, 18, from Pembrokeshire, Wales first developed strabismus at the age of four, but after she refused to wear glasses, her eye turn becoming more and more prominent over the years.
She now only has 20 per cent vision in her left eye while her right side working in overdrive so she can see.
Despite that, the beauty therapy student has over 221, 000 followers on her TikTok @mselleymay and her videos have gained over 4.9 million likes due to her glam makeup looks while she confidently showcases her condition.
Elley explained to The Daily Star that she has people look at her eye and turn their heads. This is because they don’t know if my eyes are facing them. It can get difficult. It’s the only reason why I don’t wear glasses.

When she was four years old, the teenage explained that her eyesight began.
It was noticed by her parents that she became less alert when she tired.
Elley’s older brother also suffered from the same problem, but he decided to wear glasses. Elley admits that his turn has now been ‘pretty straight’.
She started wearing glasses during primary school, and received harsh remarks from her peers.

Her videos are viewed by over 221 000 people on TikTok. She has more than 4.9 Million likes.
She began to get snarky comments from men when she entered secondary school.
However Elley explained how she learned to deal with it, saying: ‘Comments still bothered me but I got better at hiding it by laughing with them and taking the joke on further, that way they could be straightforward to my face without hurting me, because I was laughing with them, and that continued through secondary school too.’
TikTok was her first video. She started it because she enjoyed dancing and singing.
After posting a tutorial on makeup, she said that she did not expect to gain a large following.
It quickly wracked up thousands of views, and Elley gained 470,000 followers on the platform.
She even attracted attention from well known influencers including Tana Mongeau and Georgia Louise Harrison.
Elley continues to face online abuse despite receiving positive feedback from fans.
Elley learned to manage the criticisms and responded to some of them in her TikTok videos.
She said: ‘Sometimes I even comment back things agreeing with the trolls, I just want to show I’m not bothered because I’m not!
“I accept the way that I like, and it’s okay.
TikToker stated that she is passionate about creating content for the app, and even if there are some negative comments it won’t stop her from enjoying them.

She revealed that she dreams of becoming a model and said that she was confident in herself, however, she would love for someone else to feel the same.
She wrote “Why don’t we just have surgery?” in one of her viral videos. This is something that she receives a lot of questions about.
Elley captioned her post with “I’m happy” and then, after receiving a lot of support messages from others, she added: “The support you guys are incredible!”

TikToker stated that she is passionate about creating content for the app, and that even if there are some negative comments it won’t stop her from enjoying them.
One of his followers wrote, “Ignore the haters. It’s what makes you beautiful that is different.
Another person said that she believed in the following: “Girl you are beautiful and you won’t be told otherwise by anyone.” You’re gorgeous.’
One wrote that you don’t even need to have surgery.
