Tom Fletcher is the eighth star to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing this year.
After landing in the bottom two spots with Nancy Xu and Rhys Stephenson, the McFly singer and his 31-year-old dance partner Amy Dowden failed to make it through the dance-off.
Both couples performed their routines again with Rhys and Nancy dancing the Jive to Footloose from Footloose and Tom and Amy performing their Couples Choice to On My Own from Les Misérables in a bid to impress the judges.

Cynthia Erivo was the guest judge and delivered their verdicts. Cynthia said that Nancy and Rhys did a wonderful job. But there was something missing in Nancy’s dancing.
It was a great experience. I thank Nancy and Rhys for their efforts.
Motsi Mabuse voted also to save Rhys, Nancy. He said: “Well, this was so difficult, I mean, the hardest I have ever seen since I’ve lived here.
“But there was an obvious fighter. It was clear that Nancy and Rhys had just gotten a little more difficult so I decided to rescue Nancy and Rhys.

Anton Du Beke agreed to his fellow judges. He said, “I agree with other judges. It was an outstanding dance-off.” Rhys committed a mistake on Saturday and Tom did not reach his full potential.
“Tonight both couples danced beautifully, but Nancy and Rhys had a slight edge.”
They won with three votes from Nancy and Rhys. Amy and Tom would then be out of the contest. Head Judge Shirley Ballas stated that she would still have saved Amy and Tom.
Shirley stated, “No, I wouldn’t have saved Tom or Amy.”
Tom shared that he had the greatest time and loved every minute of it. Amy is my best friend.
He added: ‘It’s an amazing show, everyone that works on it, all of you guys have been amazing, I’ve loved getting to know you’
Tess asked Tom what their experience on the show was like. Tom replied: “Honestly, I had the best time. Every second. Amy is my friend, and I have made the most of her. Thank you for showing me how dance works, it was hard at times.
“It is an amazing show. Everybody that works on it. All of you guys are amazing. It’s been a pleasure getting to know all of you.
“I want to thank everyone for the wonderful experience. It’s a sad day to be leaving.
Amy stated, “I wasn’t prepared for this.” From the bottom of my soul, I loved each and every second. McFly is the only person who gets to tour with McFly.
Tom answered a question about Buzz, Buddy and Max.
“They have loved dancing. Amy is not only a teacher to me but also my kids.
Amy was then asked to speak for him and she replied: “I didn’t know what I could do.” From the bottom of my heart, I have loved each and every second. McFly is the only person who gets to be on tour with McFly.!
“Tom gave his best, and he’s so humble, genuine, and talented. My family at Fletcher, I was welcomed with open arms by them all and it was honestly the best time of my life.
She added: ‘Tom has given his all, and he is so humble, so genuine, so talented. My family and friends, the Fletchers, welcomed me with open arms. It was truly an amazing time.
“These memories will live with me for my whole life. And I can tell you right now that the Fletchers won’t get rid of Amy.
Tom replied: “Amy, you have made it so incredible and so much fun. It was something I expected to enjoy, but it wasn’t what I imagined.
“This was my goal week, so it’s a great feeling to be here. The journey has been a wonderful experience. Amy, I’m so proud of your journey.
Strictly Come Dancing will return on Saturday, 27 November at 6:55pm. The results broadcast on Sunday, 28 November at 7:20pm.
