The victims of the Travis Scott concert massacre claim that others were ‘feral and trampled’, one even saying one of those who died was his.
Selena Beltran said she was shocked to witness people be so ignorant and wild at Astroworld Fest Friday. Eight people were killed and 27 others were hurt in a stampede.
As Travis Scott, the Houston rapper approached her stage, she struggled to breath.
“I felt as if I was going to die when I fell backwards. Beltran shared his fear with CNN. “I didn’t know how to react. The events were so rapid, yet so slow that I could not react. “I just screamed.
She was witness to people pushing unconscious persons on the ground.
“It was shocking to witness people acting so careless and wild,” she said. She said it was crazy to witness so many people run over others like wild animals.
“People didn’t care. They tried to squeeze by to make it to the front, but they did not think about the consequences or who it would impact.
As a DJ and DJ, Billy Nasser called Friday’s Astroworld show “a death trap”. He recalled picking up an unconscious victim whose head rolled in his face as he attempted to assist them.
TK Tellez described the show as: ‘Imagine listening to Travis Scott and people screaming for their lives at the same time’
Madeline Eskins (ICU nurse) was there to help staff with CPR. “I felt as if I were going to die.”
Travis Scott was pictured above performing on Friday after paramedics began to respond to the massive casualty incident, which saw eight deaths.
One of the others pulled her out and helped her perform CPR for fainting people.
“I felt like I was going into shock. But, I tried to maintain my calm and not panic. It was frightening. She said that it felt terrifying.
“I saw everyone staring and people continuing to laugh as if they didn’t care about me. That crowd seemed to lack humanity.
According to her, she was able to see the corpses of patients she performed CPR when they were being taken away by medical personnel.
She said, “I knew that they were gone,” “I was unable to sleep last night. It kept replaying over and again in my brain.
Many concertgoers described the same scenes, with people struggling to breath and calling for help. Scott performed for more than half an hour even though first responders were dispatched to the mass casualty incident.
Billy Nasser, a concertgoer, called it a “death trap.”
‘I picked up a child and his eyes were rolling to the back. So I checked his pulse. CNN reporter Nasser who is a DJ said, “I knew he was dead.” I checked my surroundings. He was gone, and I had no choice but to let him go. It was impossible to stop.
Billy Nasser explained that children were “dropping all around”, and added that paramedics weren’t able to reach them.
“Kids were losing left and right,” he stated, noting that his attempts at telling concert workers how to end the show went unanswered.
There weren’t sufficient security personnel, EMTs or people to help the crowd. Nasser explained that the paramedics were unable to reach the crowd.
Madeline Eskins (ICU nurse) was there and posted an eerie account behind the crowd and backstage as the untrained staff tried unsuccessfully to revive the attendees.
She said that he began a countdown approximately 30 minutes prior to performing – and that he set a timer for the big screen.
“All of a sudden people were pressed against each other, pushing forward and backing down. The timer was getting closer and closer to zero. It got worse.
Travis Scott (pictured) took to Instagram Saturday evening after eight people perished during his performance on Astroworld Festival.
Eskins stated that “It happens. People rush to the stage. It’s no big deal.” Eskins said, “It is uncomfortable and some people are hurt. But this crowd was far too large.” It was unlike anything I have ever seen. “I felt as if I were going to die.”
She stated that she has been to many concerts, where it can get tight. However, she never felt as though I would pass out. “I have never seen people collapse.” I have never seen anyone die.
CNN reported that TK Tellez (age 20) said the crowd was compressing around an hour prior to Scott’s arrival, becoming worse after Scott arrived.
“The crowd grew tighter and tighter until it became difficult to breathe. Tellez stated that Travis performed his first song and people were passing out near him while he was performing.
“We all screamed for help and nobody heard or helped us. It was horrible. The people were screaming and couldn’t stop crying for their lives. There was no one who could move a muscle.
His surroundings began to collapse, which made him fall.
Tellez stated that everyone was crying and it was one of the most frightening sounds he’d ever heard. Imagine listening to Travis Scott while people scream for their lives.
He claimed that there weren’t enough people around to provide help for everyone.
“Travis Scott” would only have one song between them, then we’d scream out our vocal chords so that someone would hear us. But nobody heard.
“This year’s festival will stay with me for ever. Never have I seen anyone die before my eyes. It was terrible.
CNN reports that Joey Guerra has been covering Houston’s music scene since about 10 years.
Scott also stated that he stopped multiple times to assess the situation and take stock in front of everyone.
Guerra said to CNN, “You often see such things, people being executed because they are exhausted or dehydrated or something like that.”
“He did indeed stop the show at least three or four times when people were in distress, I’m sorry.”
Jeffrey Schmidt, who echoes Eskins’ memory, said that it got worse as Scott began the countdown. He was unable to breath properly. His best friend Casey Wagner was with him at the show.
Casey and me decided to slowly make our way through the crowd. We didn’t know it, but all hell was soon to break out. Schmidt explained to CNN that people began to fall to the floor and pass out.
‘Casey, me and others tried to keep the crowd from walking over them. The crowd’s force was so strong that Casey, I and other people began to fall on them.
They became friends and split up. Schmidt’s legs were caught under the feet of other guests.
“At that point my mind switched into survival mode. Schmidt stated that all Schmidt could hear were people crying out for help. “I was hopeless and believed I would die because my legs couldn’t be lifted. My life was at stake.
He said, “I believed I would never see my best friend again. Life didn’t feel real.”
Schmidt called the evening a fight for survival. Schmidt later joined them.
He said, “I saw multiple people unconscious and unable breathe. People under me were screaming for help.” However, I was unable to physically help. This is the thing that most traumatized my heart, the fact I couldn’t help those around me. They and their families were my heartbreak.
On Saturday, Travis Scott shared his shock after eight people were crushed to death at his Houston concert on Friday – but the rapper has twice been convicted for encouraging fans to jump security barriers and rush the stage at previous concerts.

He said, “I cannot imagine anything similar happening.”
There have been several instances of people rushing towards Scott in footage from Lollapalooza, Chicago (2015) and an Arkansas outdoor venue in 2017, which has raised questions. Scott was found guilty of misdemeanor for both incidents.
Scott was not alleged to have asked his fans to hurry him during Friday night’s performance. Eight people died.
An attendance nurse refuted the claims that a man had been seen using a needle to inject people moments before they were crushed.
Astroworld also released a statement on their account, mentioning cardiac arrests. They asked for anyone who has information to call Houston PD. This led to claims organizers were trying to take credit for poor crowd control which turned fatal.
Troy Finner, Houston Police Chief, said that there were reports about a security officer being stabbed and then revived by Narcan. However there are no reports of other drugging the crowd.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Green’s attorney Howard Hershenhorn said that Scott’s security picked Green up ‘like a sack of potatoes’ instead of ‘putting him in a neck brace and on the backboard.’
‘He’s even more incensed by the fact that it could have been avoided had Travis learned his lesson in the past and changed his attitude about inciting people to behave in such a reckless manner,’ Hershenhorn told Rolling Stone.
Scott encouraged another spectator to jump from the balcony at the 2017 show.
“I see that you are interested, but how do you plan to accomplish it?” Scott asked. They’ll catch you. Do not be afraid Don’t be scared!’
