Is it possible to spot an unusual word in the sentence? The tricky quiz will challenge your vocabulary. Many people don’t have the time or the desire to score high enough without using the dictionary.

  • An interactive quiz of 20 questions has been created to assess the country’s vocabulary.
  • It was shared on the US trivia site Quizly and features many surprising terms
  • Some creators say that most people can’t achieve an ideal score. Can you do it?

This quiz will test your vocabulary and prove your skills at crosswords and Scrabble.

US-based trivia platform Quizly has created a list of 20 words and challenges puzzlers to identify the synonyms for each one, and spot the odd one out.

The multiple-choice quiz, for example, asks you which one of these words doesn’t mean reject: repudiate or assent, reprobate, and renounce.

According to the creators most people are unable to achieve a perfect score without turning to a dictionary or thesaurus, and have stumbled over the wording of the questions.

What number can you answer to this question? You can scroll down and take the quiz, then you will see your results at the end.
