Today, the mother and father were charged in relation to the death of a child who suffered from severe head injuries.
Eloddie Goncalves 31, from Broadfields (Harlow), has been arrested for the murder of Malik Goncalves at two months. This occurred in August 2020.
Goncalves, who appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, is also charged with child neglect.
Paramedics and police rushed to Joyners Field, Harlow, Essex around 10 a.m. on August 19, 2020 in response to reports that a child boy had fallen ill at an Essex property.
Two-month-old Malik Olayia was found unconscious at the hospital.
The patient was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. He died hours later.
In the aftermath of Malik’s murder, a murder investigation was initiated. Ellodie Muritala and Malik were each charged with Tuesday.
At around 10:20 AM on August 19, 2020, police and paramedics were called to Joyners Field in Harlow. Malik Olayia, a two-month-old boy died from complications of breathing after he became unconscious.
After hearing that a 2-month-old boy had fallen ill, emergency services raced to Harlow in Essex.
Numerous police vehicles and ambulances were seen parking up front of high-rise blocks of flats. An air ambulance also was seen landing in the field near Rye Hill Road.
Dr Fitzpatrick Swallow and Dr Palm gave Malik’s prognosis as “head injuries pending further investigations”.

Andre Kimshe of the coroner’s office, said: ‘On August 19, baby Malik was found at home unconscious and not breathing.
“Paramedics were called and the victim was taken to Harlow hospital, where his death was confirmed at 9:53am.
Ellodie Goncalves (31), of Joyners Field has been charged for murder and child neglect. Muritala Olaiya–Imam (36) of Shearwater Close, Barking, East London was also charged with child neglect and causing or permitting the death of children.
Each will be appearing before the Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to answer questions.
