What is the function of animals with two heads?

A condition known as polycephaly in which two-headed animals are affected is called polycephaly. This comes from the Greek words poly meaning many’, and kephale meaning ‘head.

This condition also called dicephalic parapagus is characterized by two heads per torso.

Every head of a multicephalic animal is unique. They share the control over the organs and the limbs. However, the structure of each connection may vary.

The condition is rare in animals that live for more than six months.

When the animals are two-headed, they’re called dicephalic (or bicephalic) Tricephalic is their third head.

‘Although rare, two-headed animals have been documented since the 1800s’, according to the video website Newsflare.
