This year, the world’s most iconic royal castle serves as the centerpiece of a stunning winter wonderland.
The festive season is celebrated at Windsor Castle, Berkshire.
A few of the most iconic castle landmarks have been made into Christmas wonders by kind permission from The Queen.
Garter Tower, standing over 50ft tall, is lit by images inspired from stained-glass architecture and motifs taken from St George’s Chapel that date back to 15 century.
These images also feature frosty-looking snowmen. They were made by local schoolchildren, and you can see them on the castle’s front.
Near the castle’s tower is a huge christmas tree, lit by white lights and decorated with golden baubels.

Windsor Castle’s Christmas tree is guaranteed to bring everyone into the holiday spirit. It has fairy lights and golden baubles, in an elegant display.

Windsor Castle’s garter tower is the setting for spectacular projectiles. These are created using art by local schoolchildren, inspired by stained-glass windows at St George’s Chapel. One of these is the stunning St George’s Flag motif.
