Walter Smith, a former manager of Scotland and Rangers, has died at the age of 73. He won 10 league titles in his two spells at Ibrox.

Walter Smith, the former Rangers and Scotland manager, has died at the age of 73 his former club have announced.

Smith is one the most important figures of Ibrox history. Smith won 10 league titles over two spells as manager, including seven consecutively towards the club’s historic run at nine consecutive.  

Rangers announced the passing of Walter Smith in a statement posted on their official website.
