A friend and co-worker of Ioan Gruffudd has denied his estranged wife Alice Evans’ claims that he had a three-year affair with his now-girlfriend Bianca Wallace.

In a series of tweets, wardrobe assistant Amy Douglas, who worked with Ioan and Bianca on the Australian series Harrow, accused Alice herself of being ‘abusive,’ and claimed she threatened the actor with a divorce on the set.

Amy, who said Ioan and Bianca gave her permission to speak out, defended her pals Ioan and Bianca after Alice accused her estranged husband of cheating on her for three years with the Australian actress, telling fans she was ‘lost, sad and confused.’

In her first tweet, Amy responded to a fans’ claim that Ioan and Bianca’s romance began while they were filming Harrow, clarifying that the actress was simply an extra and the pair didn’t begin speaking until season three, which was recorded in 202.

She wrote: ‘As an extra and didn’t have contact with him in season two, I know because I was there as crew. Season three yes, but they only started talking towards the end.’

She added: ‘I am also her friend and I KNOW they didn’t, as I said they didn’t even speak to each other until the end of season three. Don’t buy into the lies you are being fed.’

It came after Alice took to Twitter to pen a scathing rant telling fans that she was ‘lost, sad and confused’ after accusing Ioan of cheating on her for three years with her friend Bianca. 

The tweets came just minutes after Ioan made his romance with Bianca, 29, ‘Instagram official’ by sharing a beaming image with her on-set alongside the caption: ‘Thank you for making me smile again.’  

In her tweets, which she posted on Wednesday, Alice first shared an Instagram photo that Bianca had uploaded weeks earlier, which showed a group seated in chairs that were lined up on the beach.

She wrote: ‘I have no words. My husband sent this to Elsie, our 8 yo last week and asked her if she thought he was a good photographer. I am lost. Totally lost and sad and confused…’

“He was my best friend and my twin soul. I don’t know where to go. I will, but for now I don’t know how to move on.

Bianca posted a snap of herself smiling with Ioan just minutes before Alice’s tweets. She captioned it: ‘I know real faces when I see them @ioangruffudd.

Ioan, who shares daughters, Ella, 12, and Elsie, eight, with Alice, proceeded to share the same snap with the caption: ‘Thank you for making me smile again @iambiancawallace.’

Tamzin, however, has denied knowing about Ioan’s relationship to Bianca. Tamzin told MailOnline that she didn’t know. But I have nothing to add.

Alice later tweeted Ioan’s Harrow star Ella Newton: “@EllaKNewton So they KNEW them all along and you CONGRATULATED THEM? Did you know that they had split up? Are you a member of a family? How can you possibly go wrong? This will be with you for all eternity.

Alice shared her claims on Instagram hours before Ioan posted them. But, even more important, is my hair straight? 

Alice hasn’t been shy of airing the breakdown of her marriage to Ioan on social media, and previously slammed him for being ‘devoid of any empathy’ and ‘disingenuous’. 

She claimed that the Liar actor was ‘ghosting’ her for nearly one year.

‘I haven’t spoken to my husband in 9 months (his choice),’ she penned. I was guilty of a lot of crying, screaming and accusing. I begged and begged for some kind of running discussion. This is how I reacted to such a life-altering event.

“So he ghosted my. I have been ghosted for almost ten years now.

Rant! Rant!

She went on: ‘If you read this and feel anger or upset towards ME for sharing, that’s OK. For me, as some of you will know, this was a case of the drop that overflowed the glass.

“It must have been shocking or strange for others. I completely get it. 

“This is the real Ioan Gruffudd. I’m not going overboard for this guy. This man has no empathy at all!

She claimed that he also wanted me to sign a document stating that it was MY Fault that he couldn’t get any work. This is Hollywood. I don’t care anymore. I’m done!

Ioan was at the La jeune Fille et la noapte red carpet earlier in the week as part of Cannes International Series Festival in France.

Alice concluded her rant by saying, “I don’t care anymore.” I’m done.

As he entered the event, the actor was cheerfully dressed in a tuxedo.

Prior to her most recent outburst, Alice playfully poked fun at her estranged husband’s nose in a tongue-in-cheek post she shared to Instagram in September. 

She shared a black-and-white photo of Ioan cuddling one the couple’s daughters on a sofa and couldn’t help but make a joke at her ex. 

The sweet snap captures Ioan, the father and his daughter in a cute moment. Ioan is seen wearing a shirtless and has a side profile. 

Alice captioned the post with: “A thing of beauty.” I know. We all worry secretly about one thing: Will he get his nose? Shhhh!

Alice took to Instagram again to insist that her comment was in good humour, and that she was only laughing.

Alice said, “I just want a nice guy who is a raging democratic abs likes talk and talk and discuss anything.” (It would be great to have an interest in fashion, foreign languages, and civil aviation.

She said, “(I’m only half kidding ..)’ 

Alice filed for divorce in March from Ioan. They cited irreconcilable differences to be the reason they split. 

The document was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, March 1. It revealed that the former couple divorced on New Year’s Day. This was a month after they made public their relationship status. 

They had previously shared a joint statement at the time that stated: “As you can see, this is an extremely difficult time for our families and we remain committed our children. Thank you for respecting my privacy.

It was also reported that divorce papers state that the exes are in “collaborative processes” and plan to settle all issues, including spousal support, through written agreements. 

Margaret Griffiths (73-year-old Ioan’s mom) later spoke out to confirm that no other person was involved with the breakup.

She stated, “But the kids will come first regardless of what happens, that’s for certain.”

When she was asked if she knew of anyone else, she replied, “No, no, not.” 

Alice, meanwhile, had addressed their split in a shock statement posted to Twitter in January. In it, she claimed Ioan had’mentally tortured’ her.  

The mum-of-two also accused her estranged husband of ‘winding the s**t up me’ as she posted a vitriolic video about their ‘collaborative divorce’ talks.

She said, “I have been served with divorce papers and it came out of the blue. I won’t cry.” We’ve been together for 20 years and have two wonderful children. I don’t know the reason.

Alice was only kidding. She then claimed she was joking in an online post where she was seen laughing at a black-and-white photo of herself.

“At the moment we are doing something called collaborative Divorce which is somewhere between a really nice way to do divorce and a fantastic scam.

“Because it’s in one way it is ‘okay. Let’s hear your wishes and take it to court afterwards’. In another it’s like, people working in the acting industry will know when an agent tells you that they can’t find the roles for you.  

‘It’s almost like, I want my daughter to come with me on Saturday nights. It’s just not possible.’

Alice, a TV and film actress, said Ioan had misled Alice about collaborative divorce.

“So, if I want my girl to stay one night more in my house, the judge hasn’t given any instructions so I can do it. So my husband is winding the s**t up me, saying what he says is the law, well we haven’t got to the law yet. 

“Lawyers are not the law. Lawyers are there to f*** the law. That’s what I have always believed. But I may have other thoughts.

Alice was also seen responding to criticisms about speaking out publicly about Ioan’s divorce and the impact it might have on their children.  

Alice retorted, stating that the girls didn’t know about the couple’s public profile, and ‘probably never will.’ 

Alice and Ioan They met at the set of 102 Dalmatians when Alice was in a relationship to Olivier, Pablo Picasso’s great-grandson.

Six years later, she and Ioan were engaged after she gave him an ultimatum regarding their relationship. They tied the knot in intimate Mexican ceremony in September 2007.  

Ioan has not spoken publicly about the couple’s divorcement.
