A shocking video captured by police shows the moment a man jumped over a Florida bridge following a chase with a stolen van.
Bryan Gray, 34, was pursuing deputies from Lee County Sheriff’s Office at the Edison Bridge Saturday just before Midnight.
Gray started the chase after he was accused of stealing a van from Fort Myers in southwest Florida.
To escape the police, he jumped into the Caloosahatchee River to escape them. He was then captured by officers on a boat.

Gray led Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a chase after Gray allegedly stole a van.
The video footage showed Gray being pursued by the officer from a helicopter, as Gray’s van drove down the bridge towards North Fort Meyers.
After the vehicle had lost control, Gray crashed into the right and left barriers. Gray was then able to stop the vehicle in the middle of the bridge.
Gray then jumped out of the bridge and ran to the right side. Gray can be seen climbing over the railing, holding on as he hangs above the edge.
The van was seen drifting between lanes, crashing into the left- and right-side barriers in the middle of the chase
As Gray’s next move was being spotted by police, the van stopped in the middle the bridge.
Gray then drops the 55-foot bridge into river below.
Gray is seen running towards the bridge side by side with drivers behind him.
Later, deputies found him still bobbing in under the bridge’s water and called Fort Myers Police Department asking for a boat.
Gray jumped 55 feet from the right side of the bridge and into the Caloosahatchee River below
Gray was found hiding under the bridge by a helicopter and officers from Fort Myers Police Department arrived to arrest him.
He was pulled from the water and arrested by police.
Gray was also taken by ambulance to the hospital after his arrest. His condition is currently unknown.
He was charged with grand theft automobile, fleeing, and eluding.
