A 35-year-old woman has admitted sexually touching a teenage girl who was ‘cared for in school premises’.
Aimee Jones will be sentenced next month at Teesside Crown Court after she admitted four counts in Abusing a Position of Trust by engaging in sexual Activity with a girl aged 13-17 being cared for in school premises.
Jones appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 19, charged with four offences where she intentionally, sexually touched a teenage girl.
The 35-year old, wearing a green top, yellow trousers, and black pants, spoke only to confirm her name and address. She also admitted the four matters, which took place in County Durham, in the brief hearing before District Judge Helen Cousins.

Prosecutor Rachel Butt and Jones’ solicitor Steven Andrews also attended the hearing and the decision was made not to outline the case but rather commit Jones, of West Road, Melsonby, Richmond, for sentencing on November 16.
Judge Cousins stated that Jones, who wore glasses and a face mask and had her brown hair pulled back in a ponytail, would be given credit for her early guilty plea. She also asked her to contact probation to receive a report for the crown court hearing.
