Judge Andrew Menary QC was Honorary Recorder in Liverpool and requested a pre-sentence report about Bevan prior to her March 25 sentencing.
Martine Snowdon (prosecutor) stated that pre-sentence reporting had been requested for Rafferty as well as Hutton.
Judge Andrew Menary, QC, Honorary Recorder for Liverpool, stated that he will also need a Pre-sentence Report from the Probation Service regarding Bevan.
Judge Menary directed that the report must consider exclusively ‘the issue of dangerousness’ – whether Bevan is a dangerous offender, as defined by law.
Extended sentences may be possible for dangerous offenders if the paedophiles were found guilty of a crime. At least 2/3 of the sentence behind bars is not more than 50%.
Bevan was informed by him that she would be subject to the interim requirements of Sex Offenders Register.
Bevan cried as Judge Menary placed her in custody before she was sentencing.
