Aidan, who is also a celebrity stylist and spent 3,000 hours crafting the jumper, hopes to be able to sell it for at least five figures. He plans to donate some of his earnings.

He said, “I had visions and made them come to life.” “I wanted to make something spectacular and eye-catching, which is what I did.

“I have a good sense of where each component needs to be placed, and I improvise a lot.”

A former student of art, she studied at Central St Martins. She wanted to give a luxe twist on the “ugly Christmas jumper” tradition.

“Christmas jumpers are not a tradition in our family, so I decided to do it with style,” he stated. It’s possible to wear the item, although it will not be machine washable because it is so delicate.

The main reason for the high price is because it has taken me so much time. This is the only time I was able to do it.

“I am broke so I have to sell it.” It’s worth every cent.

He had just finished lockdown 2020 and was working as a key worker for a charity. The inspiration struck him and he started the project in December.

Aidan struggled to source fabrics and materials. Aidan only finished it by November 2021.

After spending 3,000 hours on the hand-crafted project, Aidan - who also works as a celebrity stylist - hopes to sell the jumper for five figures and plans to donate a portion of the cash. He is pictured selecting fabrics for the jumper

Aidan stated that he has not spared any expense. With the exception of a few delicate pieces, I’ve completed most of this work by myself.

The 150 diamonds – which adorn the silver stars near the collar of the jumper – were bought from a Hatton Garden specialist and cost around £5,000.

The artist explained that the main body is made of wool and cotton. It’s also lined with beautiful silk, making it soft as a kitten.

“The small imperfections in diamonds mean they don’t fit jewellery, but would be perfect for a jumper.

The artist says the jumper is a 'fun novelty piece' and he's 'serious' about selling the luxury garment

According to the artist, the novelty jumper was a fun piece and that he is serious about the sale of the luxurious garment.

“It was a long process to find the right ones. These are embedded in beautiful raw silver stars. Even the Reindeer has a Swarovski Gold locket around its neck.

“The jumper tells an interesting story. It’s also a funny novelty piece. It is rare to find something like this, so it is extremely thrilling.

“I want it wow people, break down the doom and despair we have been hearing for years.

It was a surprise to most of my close friends and families, so they were amazed when the big reveal happened.

“I am serious about it being sold, I have it listed on my site if you are interested!”
