Zayn Malik has been dropped by his record label, RCA, amid fears that he has been smoking ‘extremely strong’ cannabis according to a new report.
After denying claims that he had raped Yolanda Hadid’s mother, it was revealed that the singer, aged 28, had split with Gigi Hadid (26-year-old model).
Now The Sun is reporting that Malik has been ditched by his US record label RCA following claims from those close to him saying that he has been increasingly smoking ‘extremely strong’ cannabis.
A senior music source told the publication on Thursday: ‘A lot of people have tried desperately to get Zayn’s life and career back on track, but nothing has worked.
His record label, RCA has dropped Zayn Malik amid concerns that he had been smoking ‘extremely powerful’ cannabis. This is according to a new report. He was seen smoking in an Instagram post from September 2015.
“So many people who worked with him just gave up,” he said.
‘He’s almost impossible to control or guide. His label quietly decided that their relationship was over.
Zayn has spoken out openly about smoking marijuana. He previously stated that he believes it can help him in his creative process as a musician.
This comes after it was revealed that Malik had pleaded no contest to four counts of harassment after allegedly pushing his partner’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, into a dresser and calling her a ‘f*****g Dutch sl*t’ last month in a fight at the home he shares with Gigi in Pennsylvania.
DailyMail.com obtained court documents on Friday that revealed the details. He was charged with four counts for harassment. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and must serve 360 days probation.
The Sun reports that Malik was dropped by his US record company RCA, following claims by people close to him that he was increasingly using ‘extremely potent’ cannabis.
The British singer must have no contact with Yolanda (his daughter’s grandmother) or John McMahon, who was a security guard for Hadid family members who witnessed the incident, and whom he also harassed.
The documents confirm that there was a fight between the couple at their home near New Hope in Pennsylvania. This information was made public on Thursday along with the news that Zayn had split from supermodel Gigi. It is unclear if they split up before the fight or as a result.
The couple had a one year old daughter, Khai. They lived together in Pennsylvania, near Yolanda.
Yolanda, Gigi and their children went to their property on September 29th. Although Zayn was present, it’s not clear if Khai was. The next thing that happened is not clear, but they began arguing and Zayn ‘grabbed’ Yolanda and’shoved” her into a dressing room.
He verbally berated her as well, shouting: “Stay away!” [my] f*****g daughter and calling her a ‘f*****g Dutch s**t’.

According to records, Malkik ‘grabbed Yolanda Hadid and shoved her into an armoire, causing mental anguish as well as physical pain.
After an incident at his house, Zayn Malik pleaded not guilty to four counts in Pennsylvania of harassment.
The incident occurred on September 29, when Gigi had been modeling in Paris. Sources say that Zayn and Yolanda’s relationship was already strained after he suspected Yolanda of leaking information about Gigi’s pregnancy to the media. After allegedly pushing Yolanda into the dresser and screaming at her and a security guard, Zayn is said to have called Gigi in Paris and screamed at her to ‘strap on some f*****g balls’. It’s not known where baby Khai was during this altercation.

The incident occurred on September 29, at Gigi & Zayn’s four bedroom farmhouse near New Hope in Pennsylvania. The home was taken before the couple bought in 2020.
He is said to have called Gigi in Paris and yelled down the phone to her: ‘Strap on some f***ing balls and defend your partner against your f***ing mother in my house.’
Zayn was sentenced on probation for 360 days. He must complete an anger management program and must not have contact with Yolanda nor the security guard who saw the fight.
A security guard was present for the exchange, according to the court documents, and Zayn screamed at him: ‘Get the f*** out of my f***ing house copper.’
At another point he referred to fathering Khai with the ‘f*****g sperm that came out of my f*****g c**k’.
Gigi has not commented in detail but released a statement on Thursday night.
Gigi is focused solely on Khai’s best interests. She requests privacy during this period,’ her rep said.
Yolanda has yet not commented.
On Thursday, Zayn posted on social media a statement that confirmed that there was an incident. He also pleaded no contest (although at the time it was unclear if he’d been criminally prosecuted) and stated that he was trying protect his daughter.
He denied striking Yolanda as reported by TMZ, citing unnamed sources.
‘As most of you know, I am a private individual and I want to create a safe environment for my daughter to grow into.
‘A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart.
‘In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.
These photos of Kai, Zayn’s daughter, were shared by Yolanda on Instagram ten days before the incident. Sources claim she and Zayn did not see eye to eye because he is very private and suspected Yolanda that Gigi’s pregnancy news with Khai was leaked last year.

According to The Sun, an unnamed source cited by The Sun, the tension between him and Yolanda allegedly started when he suspected Yolanda of leaking information about Gigi’s pregnancy.
