Adele would be horrified by Sony’s response to Matt Doran’s interview gaffe. The record label withheld footage of the recording because Channel 7’s reporter had not listened to the album.

Kyle Sandilands claimed Adele would be ‘horrified’ at the reaction of Sony to Matt Doran’s Channel Seven interview.

Seven was banned by Sony from broadcasting Doran’s interview on Adele. It was part of a $1million package which also included the rights to her One Night Only concert special. Doran admitted that he had not listened to Adele’s album prior to their sit-down in London, two weeks ago.

Sandilands has previously interviewed Adele several times. She said that a “lovely” person such as Adele wouldn’t have told her label for Doran’s mistake and instead blamed the spiteful Sony publicists.

According to Sony Music, “Who in the heck is Sony Music?” It’s not an Adele problem. She would know nothing about it.’ He stated this on The Kyle and Jackie O Show Tuesday.

They have been prevented from publishing it by a publicist. Adele would be shocked. It would not be something she liked. He added, “She’s a sweetie,”

This comes two weeks after Doran, 33 years old, was reported to have been removed from the air after being accused of ‘offending’ him – an accusation the journalist later refuted.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, Doran flew to London for a chat with pop star Diva. However, he admitted that he had not listened to the new album.

The newspaper reported that he was then “suspended” by Seven Network bosses. But Doran clarified later that there had been no formal suspension, and that he simply took a week off.

Doran met with Hello’s hitmaker to have a 20-30-minute interview. He didn’t ask ‘a single question’ about the album.

Adele asked Doran about his thoughts on her 30 album. Doran replied that he has not listened.

Adele then is said to be ‘offended’ and walked out of interview. But, this has been refuted by other sources.

Even though the interview was taped, Adele’s record label Sony denied Seven any rights to air it.

It is claimed that the network spent $1million to pay for Oprah Winfrey’s sit-down interview as well as footage of her One Night Only concert and her sit-down conversation with Oprah.

Seven retained the rights to these broadcasts which were aired every Sunday.

Doran and Monique Wright were back on Weekend Sunrise Saturday, after a brief hiatus.

On Monday, Doran said to The Australian that he was mortified by the English singer’s incompetence and that he is sincerely sorry.

Interview: Doran reportedly sat down with the Hello hitmaker for a '20-30 minute' interview, during which he did not 'ask a single question about the new album'. When asked by Adele what he thought of her 30 album, Doran allegedly admitted he had not listened to it

Interview with Adele: According to reports, Doran met up for an interview lasting between 20 and 30 minutes. During which time he didn’t ask ‘one question’ about her new album. Adele asked Doran what he thought about her new 30 album. Doran said that he hadn’t listened.

Doran stated that he hadn’t seen the “e-card” link to his album and couldn’t listen to it on the flight from Sydney.

He said, “When I sat down for an interview with Adele, it was completely unaware that I had been emailed previews of her unreleased albums.”

It was an “ecard” link that I had missed when landing in London. This was not an intentional snub, but an oversight. It is one of the most crucial emails I’ve ever seen.
