Bare-faced Boris! PM seen riding on packed trains without a mask… just 24 hours after she apologized for failing to use one at a hospital

  • Boris Johnson, without his face covered, was photographed riding a train from London to Warrington.
  • This is just the latest instance in which the Prime Minister was criticized for not covering it up
  • He apologised only the previous day for not wearing a mask when he visited hospital

Boris Johnson, 24 hours after being pictured on train travelling without face masks during hospital visits, was spotted again.

On Thursday, Johnson was on his way from Oxford Road Station to Manchester via the 3.55pm Warrington Bank Quay service. This picture is part of a hectic week for Johnson.

The surprise of the Premier not having a mask on, despite the fact that Government guidelines recommend the wearing of such masks for enclosed areas and public transport was shocking to many.

Mirror source: “I got onto the carriage, and half of it was taped off. Under guarded surveillance, a large number of people boarded the side that was blocked off.

‘There were people surrounding the PM and a few of his people were noticeably not wearing a mask – unlike the rest of the passengers.’

It happened 24 hours after Boris had apologized to for not wearing masks during his hospital visit.

After a photo of him without covering his face during a visit to Hexham General Hospital, the Prime Minister received criticism.

Following a photo shoot with nurses, Mr Johnson was photographed without any face protection.

As he refused to apologize, he insisted Monday that he uses a mask whenever he’s required under coronavirus guidance.

Johnson didn’t apologize until days later when he was being grilled at 4pm by the powerful Liaison Committee of Parliament.

It comes after last week, the Prime Minister was widely criticised after he was photographed without a face covering during a trip to Hexham General Hospital. He apologised days later

This comes days after the Prime Minister was heavily criticised for not wearing a mask during a visit to Hexham General Hospital. He later apologized for his actions.

Mr Johnson was questioned on the issue by senior Labour MP Yvette Cooper and he said: ‘As for not wearing a mask in Hexham hospital, which you wrap up into my general litany of crime, can I just say that actually it was barely 30 seconds when I wasn’t wearing a mask.

‘I walked out of a room, mistakenly not wearing it. The moment I realized my mistake, I put the jacket on.

‘I apologise for it. But most pictures of my visit to the hospital will show that I was duly masked throughout the remainder of the visit and I was masked on the way into the visit and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to clear that up.’

According to government guidance, people are encouraged and advised to use a mask whenever they come in contact with others in enclosed or crowded areas.

If the coronaviruses put undue strain on the NHS, compulsory masks will be used by the Government as part of its plan B.

Johnson stated that there were many things we should do to ensure the guidance is being followed, while speaking to journalists during his visit to London’s vaccination centre last month.

“Commonsensical items, such as washing your hands and wearing a mask when you’re meeting people you might not normally get along with, are commonsense. That’s sensible.’

Last Monday’s Downing Street press conference saw Mr Johnson, an afflicted man, speak out about his cold. He said that adhering to the mask rules is ‘the responsible thing’.

He stated, “I don’t wear a mask unless the rules tell me to and I recommend everyone do the same.”

“People actually have observed me with face covers quite a lot more often as the number (of infections), has risen in the UK.

“I feel that it is the most responsible thing I can do. And, I intend to keep doing it.”

The Cop26 summit in Glasgow saw him seated beside Sir David Attenborough, but without wearing a mask.

Downing Street was contacted to provide comment.
