Naga Munchetty attacked the trolling groups who called her ugly and said that she must have lived a ‘deeply unhappy life’ in order to be able to attack them.

The BBC Breakfast presenter has insisted she ‘doesn’t care’ about the online critics who have sent her repeated bouts of abuse online.

Naga, who is apart of the Breakfast show team and also has her her own radio show on BBC 5 Live, discussed how she deals with the nasty remarks.

Naga, in The Big Issue’s latest issue, writes to her younger self about how social media has influenced her.

She wrote: “My younger self would have been horrified by this world of social media.” “There are so many unhappy and angry people around.

“What is it that motivates someone on Twitter or Instagram? Do they hate this person or are they ugly?”

Then she added: “If someone actively goes to their phone in order to type that, then there must be something very unhappy about their life.” It doesn’t bother me. They don’t matter to me.

Naga frequently responds to Twitter comments, calling out her followers for making mean remarks.

Naga bit back at a troll who called her ‘false’ on Twitter earlier this week.

She  replied to a viewer who tweeted: ‘Really wish they would axe her. It is so absurd. She hasn’t got a nice or watchable bone in her body. “She is so irritating, I need to turn off.”

After retweeting her comment, she replied: “Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts.” Very constructive indeed. Does that sound authentic enough?

Since then, the troll deleted their tweet.

Naga doesn’t hesitate to stand up for disrespectful criticism on social media and many of her fans commented supportively.

Last summer she called out a pair of trolls after they attacked her for what she was wearing on the morning news show.

Paul, a derogatory name for the anchor of the news station, called her “that Asian bird” and attacked her for wearing whatever she likes to present the program.

As Charlie Stayt, her co-host in the show, was wearing a suit and tie, it seemed like Naga had reacted to Naga’s shoes – silver brogues.

She’s biting back!  One viewer commented, “Really wish that they would axe me!” It is so absurd. She hasn’t got a nice or watchable bone in her body. She’s so annoying, I must switch off.

Paul, clearly furious at the bizarre shoes, took to Twitter and railed: ‘I never understood why Charlie must wear a formal business coat and that Asian bird seems able to dress whatever the hell she pleases?

Naga answered with the simple “Oh Paul!”

Then, she replied to another tweet that was later deleted. This clearly attacked the shoes.

Although it’s not clear if this came from another Paul or one of the same, Naga responded: “Paul – Three suggestions for you: 1. You can add a picture to your Twitter profile. Consider what your tweets are before you begin writing. Let me guess this …’.

Following Naga, many people rushed to her defense, hailing her as’stylish and fabulous’. Some even naming her the UK’s best-known morning television anchor.

Naga, a newswoman from Japan, wore a black blouse and navy pants with red hearts around the neck.

2016 Naga stated that she wasn’t meant to be used as she voiced out against the sexist and racist abuse she had been subjected to on Twitter.

Although she acknowledged that critics are part of her job, she said that she will continue to call out abusive people.

Previous tweets claimed that she is employed by the BBC only for her ethnicity. They also criticised the colour of her glasses, hair, and made some distasteful sexual comments.

The host responds to trolling by responding to tweets. She often ends these tweets with the trademark “BLOCKED” and her followers jump to her defense, criticizing the abuser.

He's fuming! Clearly outraged at the funky shoes, Paul marched to Twitter to rant - 'I never understand why Charlie has to wear a formal business suit and that Asian bird seems to be able to wear whatever the hell she wants?'

He’s furious! Paul was clearly furious at his funky shoes and took to Twitter to vent.

She previously told the Daily Mirror: ‘I’m on telly, I’m in your home, so if you want to criticise me, fine. But I’m not there to be abused. There is no one to abuse.

‘You don’t abuse someone while they’re doing their job, and you don’t make racist, sexist or bigoted comments.

‘If someone says, “She did a bad job of that interview, I’ve come away and not understood anything”, I would go back and re-examine that interview.

‘Racist and sexist stuff, I just think, “You’re an idiot.”‘

Feisty Naga recently revealed she adored the Emily Bronte classic Wuthering Heights because its female star is cruel.

It taught me that women don’t have to be liked, they can be hateful and love isn’t perfect. She said that she was “dark of heart” and it made her sound dark.

Cathy is a horrible character. She is cruel. But I love her. Is that really terrible?
