A man has gone viral for his uncanny video impression of Her Majesty. 

Julian Sewell is a New Zealander from Auckland. He shared his TikTok video and can be seen imitating the Queen’s Christmas message. 

This short video, captioned “This is my prediction”, shows Julian sitting upright on the couch while he imitates the English accent of the monarch to recreate the 2021 holiday message. 

And the speech – which included references to the ‘ghastly Delta variant’ and ‘looking ahead to the future’ – wowed social media users, with one branding it ‘spot on.’

“It is clear that a speechwriter is crying and shaking as they erase pages of drafts,” wrote one. Another joked, “Queen 100% will lip sync her speech with this audio.”

The amusing video has received more than 170,000 views and over 2,500 comments. Julian, speaking in Her Majesty’s voice, begins by saying: “2021 was a year unlike any other.” 

“Since the outbreak of coronavirus in March last year, our family has had to adapt to living at home and reduce social contact as a way to combat transmission.

The next scene was promising until the Delta version was introduced. Many of us were forced back to lockdown.

As always, though, we are looking forward to the future. We wish you and all your loved ones a Merry Christmas.

Commenters on social media were filled with praises about Julian’s extremely accurate impression. 

One person noted that the accent was perfect. Another wrote, “Spot on.” It was the tightly-rolled Rs that got me to the finish.

Another added, “The pronunciation of Femly is spot-on,” while another commented that he didn’t know the Queen pre-recorded his Christmas speeches.

Another wrote, “The Crown producers will contact you shortly”. 

And fans will be delighted to hear that Julian’s other impressions include Margaret Thatcher, Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
