The son of Boris Becker and his ex-wife Barbara has insisted his parents divorcing when he was just a year old was ‘for the better’ after he was named one of Britain’s most eligible people by Tatler.
Elias, 22-year-old Elias from London, said that he had a great childhood in an interview with British society bible, as he appeared on the December cover.
German tennis ace Boris and German-American fashion designer Barbara divorced in 2001, after eight years of marriage, but their pair, who share two children, Elias and his brother Noah, 27, have remained on good terms.
Speaking about their split, Elias told the magazine: ‘You understand that people have their own emotions and own needs, and sometimes people don’t fulfil those needs any more… They probably did it for the best.
Elias Becker, 22-year-old Londoner, stated that he had a “great childhood” in an interview with British society Bible as he appeared in its December cover.
He also recalled how his father’s friends would interrupt family gatherings to bombard them with photos.
‘I learned from my parents not too stress about that [sort of]It’s not. It’s just what people do,’ he said.
‘They appreciate you because you’ve achieved great things and they’re inspired by you. That’s a positive thing.
He also mentioned visiting Wimbledon with his father, who is a three-time Wimbledon champion.
Boris, a German tennis ace, and Barbara, a German fashion designer, divorced in 2001 after eight years of marriage. But their couple, who have two children, Elias (27-year-old) and Noah (27-year-old), have remained in good terms.
Elias said: ‘It’s nice to come back to the place that was his playground, at a time when he spent a lot of time winning. This is heritage for my family, like, damn. It’s kinda cool.’
Select Model Management was quick to snap up Elias, a DJ and actor, shortly after she moved from the US to London.
The 22-year-old, who is is studying film-making at Roehampton University, previously revealed how his father moved him into his South-West London home.
He added he has since copied the daily routine that helped his father become a tennis champ – starting with 50 press-ups

“He gives me advice, and he gives my routines every single day. Elias explained to Mail Online that Elias tells him what he did when his age was mine and that I simply copy his schedule.
“So I wake up at 7am, do 50 push-ups, and then go back to sleep for about an hour.
‘Then I wake and do yoga for 30 minutes, then meditate with my dad. Finally, we eat breakfast and discuss our goals for the day. It’s similar at night.
Boris’ divorce from first wife Barbara is said to have cost £12.5million in cash, £2.4million in fees, and their marital home in Miami. He also supported Noah and Elias.

Boris fathered Anna, 17, a Russian model Angela Ermakova’s daughter. The couple had a staircase attempt at London’s Nobu restaurant while Barbara was pregnant with Elias.

Boris denied paternity when he heard about Angela’s pregnancy. However, a DNA test in February 2001 proved he was the father. He then agreed to support Anna – who is now a budding fashion model – and received joint custody in December 2007.
Boris and Lilly also separated. The former couple announced their separation in May 2018 after nine years of being together.
Boris, a father of four, married Lilian de Carvalho in Switzerland in 2009, and they had their son Amadeus the following year. The 53-year-old is currently dating Lilian de Carvalho, who is in her 40s.
Boris was declared bankrupt in June 2017 over a debt of £3.34million owed to a private bank.
He is the fifth highest earner on the tennis court, having amassed a large fortune since winning Wimbledon in 2017.
His actions on the tennis court left him millions of dollars and he was now facing the possibility of losing his commentating job.
