Joan Collins has been a successful actress for over 70 years and claims she doesn’t worry about cancel culture because it’s ‘tragic, boring’.

The actress, 88, questioned ‘whether everybody should feel the same way about everything’, after being asked about the movement in BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

She also defended Sex And The City’s Chris Noth after he was forced to deny multiple sexual abuse allegations over the past month.

“It’s only closing down discussions”: Dame Joan Collins (88) claims she doesn’t worry about cancel culture, while calling it “tragic” and “boring”.

The Dynasty star said: ‘I don’t worry about it. It is sad that someone can be cancelled because they have an opposing opinion.

It is simply closing down conversations and closing down debates. Why is everyone supposed to feel the same about everything? It can be very monotonous.

Joan also remembered how she dealt with predatory men in her early years of the film business, long before the Me Too Movement.

The Golden Globe winner – whose dad had warned her of such encounters – revealed: ‘It didn’t just start when I went to Hollywood.

Following Chris’s fourth allegation of unwanted sexual advances, she said during the podcast: ‘Who knows what he did?

He said, “I know him” and that he is not going to be judged because who knows the identities of these women? However, his career is in ruins. He did not do what he was supposed to.

Chris strongly denied the claims of rape and sexual assault against two women. However, he did admit to having had ‘consensual interactions’ with them.

These events are believed to have occurred while he was still in a relationship, with Tara Wilson.

After the accusations were made against him, he was dismissed from CBS’ drama The Equalizer.
