This is the moment when a brave disabled man fell on the ground to save his pug, who was being attacked by vicious stray dog pack.

Aleksander Livanov, of Ulyanovsk, Russia, threw himself out of his wheelchair to the defence of his pet pug, Buckie, after they were travelling along the pavement next to a nearby block of flats.

Three large dogs approached the wheelchair basketball player and he can be seen turning in his wheelchair to protect his dog and face the danger.

The terrifying footage shows Mr Livanov falling out from his wheelchair to save his pet’s life and stop him being torn apart by the vicious strays.   

He is seen trying his best to stop the stray dog from attacking his dog.

The authorities are looking for aggressive stray dogs to place in shelters.

Buckie and his owner were not hurt in the attack. 

It is believed that the dogs reside on the property of a nearby construction site. 

The local authorities are currently looking for the strays and will place them in temporary shelters.
