Elle Macpherson, a supermodel from Australia, made a shocking comment about her ancestry.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the 57-year-old stated in a new beauty video tutorial for Vogue: ‘My eyes are almost black, that’s the Aborigine in me.’
‘Being seven generations Australian they don’t reflect light the same way blue eyes do,’ she reportedly said in the clip.

According to the publication the video was edited to remove these remarks when Macpherson was asked whether she was claiming that she was Indigenous or if it was regrettable that she used the term ‘Aborigine.
Elle’s younger sister Mimi refuted Elle’s claims. She told The Sydney Morning Herald, ‘We aren’t Indigenous nor have our ancestors been traced to us.’
Elle was born in Australia to Peter Gow, an entrepreneur and sound engineer, and Frances Gow, a nurse.

When she was 10, her parents divorced. Elle adopted Macpherson as her last name after her stepfather died.
In another Vogue video, she admitted that she didn’t have any skincare routine until she was 50.
“When I was younger, I didn’t even have a skincare regimen. I would go to work, and the amazing make-up artist would prepare your skin for you. I didn’t have any worries about it,’ she explained in the video.

“I didn’t have a skin care program until I was about 18 or 19 years old. I don’t remember if I was even 50.
