Toy Story fans speculate that Tim Allen, the voice actor for Buzz Lightyear’s beloved Toy Story character, has been fired from the character’s upcoming origin movie because of his outspoken political views.

Allen, 68 years old, was the voice of Buzz Lightyear and Tom Hanks in Woody’s role in the Toy Story films.

After nearly 30 years of portraying the character, Chris Evans, Captain America actor, has replaced him in the upcoming movie ‘Lightyear.

The decision has divided fans of the animated character. Some were critical of Allen’s political removal, while others welcomed Chris Evans’s support and mocked Allen’s conservative stance.

Allen, a Republican staunch, endorsed Donald Trump in 2016. He was quoted as saying that he liked the way Donald Trump pissed off people.

Others argue that the actor’s change was a necessity, as the upcoming “Lightyear” movie will focus more on the character of Lightyear than the toy.

DailyMail.com’s request to comment on Disney Pixar’s response has not been returned by the studio.
