The world’s former fattest man has disclosed that a hospital planned to put him to death in an abattoir because they couldn’t handle his size.
Paul Mason, 61-year-old from Ipswich, stated that he was disgusted’ at the plans he had drawn up over his three years of living on a hospital unit. They included giving him an animal funeral if he passed away.
The former postman, who once weighed 80 stone, said to ITV in The World’s Fattest Man: Ten Years On that he was subject to inhumane treatment and struggled to lose weight.
Paul stated that if someone died in hospital, they wouldn’t have the ability to handle someone my size. Therefore, they made a form to say that if someone dies in hospital, they would have to take me to an Abattoir to see large animals and then they’d have to cremate me in the animal cremation.
