Fortnite stopped selling a Travis Scott “emote” on its game, after eight people were killed while Scott performed in Houston.
Players can purchase emotes for their characters to express themselves in the game. The music is from Scott’s single ‘Out West.’
Following a declaration declaring a mass casualty, 30-year-old rapper continued to perform for another 30 minutes.
Fortnite said later that the entire shop had been deleted, and not only the Scott-related emote, but without providing any explanation.
Scott was Fortnite’s star performer last year and earned $20 Million as the result of his nine-minute, digital concert attended by 27.7M players.
