Adele upset fans in Las Vegas when she cancelled her much-anticipated residency there just 24 hours before she was due to take the stage at Caesar’s Palace.

And four months later, Adele and her team have yet to provide ticket-holders with an update on the postponed shows – despite the singer vowing to reschedule the dates for sometime this year.

Frustrations are mounting and fans use social media to criticize Adele for apparently leaving them in the dark. Some call the delay of months bogus, while others label it diva-like.

On January 21, Weekends With Adele would begin at Las Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace.

But the day before kick off, Adele announced that she’d be postponing the 12-week residency, citing the COVID-19 pandemic as a mitigating factor.

Fans were disappointed to find out that she was cancelling her show at the last moment after they had spent thousands of dollars on tickets and flights.

With many in search of answers – and some in search of refunds – fans have been directing their complaints to Adele’s official Twitter, as well as her fan page Adele Access and Ticketmaster.

One fan said that Adele’s 30-album era, released in November 2013, was over when the residency ended.

Last month, it was reported that Adele was close to finalizing a new deal to bring her Las Vegas residency to Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood.

According to TMZ, Adele and her team are in ‘serious talks’ with the folks over at Planet Hollywood to bring her shows there, with performances set to kick off within months barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The publication adds that the move will come with ‘major perks’ for the Easy On Me hitmaker, including her having ‘full creative control over the show.’

They also add that Adele will receive a ‘large cut of ticket sales’, which is a boost from her former deal as Zappos Theater seats 7,000 people as opposed to 4,100 at The Colosseum.

The singer originally postponed her Weekends With Adele on January 20th, citing the COVID-19 pandemic as a mitigating factor.

It had previously been suggested that space was being made for her to belt out her greatest hits at The Colosseum, with Keith Urban finishing his own residency on June 18th, before Los Stewart sets up shop on September 23rd.

Addressing the issue in February, a source told The Sun: ‘That is the scheduling that would make the most sense.

‘Talks are ongoing at the moment, and the hope is that Adele’s rearranged dates will be agreed very soon.

‘She has made it clear that next year is not an option, and everyone is keen to lock the dates in.’

It had previously been reported that the delays were down to the singer being displeased with the set design, particularly over a swimming pool erected in the middle of the stage.

Insiders in the Caesars Palace camp told TMZ that the resort and Live Nation will have to arrive at a workable arrangement with the singer within a month in order for the show to go forward.

Rich Paul, Adele’s boyfriend, is an elite sports agent who had apparently joined the negotiations to host the show. The estimated revenue of the show will be $150 million.

Sources claimed that Adele was arguing about many things, not just the choir or the sound system.

Caesars Insiders also referenced a disagreement about a swimming-pool that was supposed to be included in the concert set.

There have been rumors that Adele was involved in a dispute with the set designer about the water feature.

Adele, in an attempt to salvage her residency that was delayed by a year, reportedly dismissed her creative team.

According to reports, she has split with Take That’s creative team and hired Take That’s creative expert instead.

After revealing that the concert run was postponed, she decided to make her decision. She wants another child next year and so she will.

Adele broke up with Esmeralda Es’ Devlin, her longtime collaborator. She designed the set on her 121-date 2016 tour and she has now hired Kim Gavin (Stufish), according to The Telegraph.

Displeased? Previous reports suggested that Adele was dissatisfied with the design of the stage, especially the swimming pool located in the middle.

Artistic director Kim has been behind every Take That tour since 1992 and has won a BAFTA for his work on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Stufish is the production designer behind the Rolling Stones’ 60th Anniversary Tour and Stormzy’s Heavy is the Head tour.

Source claimed that Adele disapproved of the end result even though it was expensive and took her to Es to express her thoughts.

“She had already been nervous, and she fell-out caused her to spiral into panic.

Sources close to the production informed the publication that the new team would ‘develop an entirely new show’ after the Es show was scrapped.

According to reports, Adele and Es had a heated argument over staging and production at the Las Vegas show.
