A week after marrying her soulmate in Covid, lockdown-free Western Australia, a glamorous AFL WAG and model revealed that she is battling thyroid cancer.

Liv Cripps (26 years old) broke the shocking news Friday by posting a photo of herself in hospital, giving the camera a thumbs-up, with numerous wires and tubes surrounding her body. 

Jamie Cripps’ new wife, West Coast Eagles star Jamie Cripps, remarked that “cancer” was not something she expected to hear in her twenties. However she felt it important to share the information so everyone can check on their irregular ‘lumps.

She wrote, “A few weeks back I was diagnosed with thyroid carcinoma,” on Instagram.

“So thankful to have been surrounded by so many amazing family and friends who have shown so great love and support.

She shared her story to encourage others, “Sharing My Story” because you can never be too sure.

According to Cancer Council Australia around 2,900 people are diagnosed with thyroid cancer each year in Australia. 

It is the most common form of cancer among women aged 20-24. 

Thyroid cancer patients typically receive a combination treatment that includes surgery, thyroid hormone replacement therapy and radioactive iodine therapy. 

The model from Perth has received support from friends and well-wishes, despite being sad to hear of her health issues.

Just seven days after she was married to Jamie Cripps at a lavish ceremony in Western Australia, the AFL WAG announced her cancer diagnosis. 

The couple was surrounded by their loved ones as they celebrated their nuptials at Black Brewing Co in Margaret River.  

The AFL star got down and kneeled to propose in Queenstown, New Zealand two years ago.
