Gordon Ramsay said Wednesday that he is proud of Tilly, his daughter, for standing up against Steve Allen at LBC.
The TV chef, 54, spoke for the first time since the radio host, 67, mocked his 19-year old daughter’s weight on Strictly Come Dancing.
Gordon stated in an Instagram Live: “It made me feel very proud. She stood up and said, “I’m not taking it.”
Sweet: Gordon Ramsay, the father of Tilly (19), revealed Wednesday that he is’very proud” of Tilly for standing up against Steve Allen (67), on Wednesday.
When Steve was talking to Thomasina Miers over his new cookbook Ramsay in 10, the conversation quickly turned to Steve calling Tilly “chubby little thing” live on-air.
Gordon hit back and said: ‘She is 19-years of age for goodness sake – bursting her a**e off and attending university by Zoom and learning the most extraordinary moves with Nikita [Kuzmin].
“I believe it was a breath-of-fresh air that level of standing up to say, ‘We’re going to not tolerate that.’
Gordon continued to speak about his own struggles with weight, saying that he has ‘always struggled’ with his weight.

He added, “It is a very sensitive topic whether you are a man or a woman. I have always struggled with my weight.
“I must train, we eat all the time. We eat, we graze, and we are constantly around food. If we don’t train I’d be 350-400 pounds – so all credit to her.’
Gordon’s comments came after his daughter took to Instagram and responded to his radio presenter fat-shaming him on his show.
Tilly stated in the post that she was “learning to accept” herself, but that she was still hurt by the shocking comments.

Alongside the statement she shared a soundbite from Steve’s show, in which he read out a comment from a listener alerting him to the fact Tilly was taking part in Celebrity MasterChef Australia
Steve, who is usually on air between 4am-7am, said: “Is that she?” She can’t blimming good dance!
“I’m bored with her already. She’s a little chubby thing, isn’t? Did you notice? I would guess that her dad is the one who cooks.
Tilly responded to the comments by writing:I try not to listen to negativity and comments, but being called out by a man aged 67 on a national radio station was a step too far.
Shock: CBBC’s presenter took to Instagram to address Steve’s fat-shaming of her on his radio show.
“Steve, please feel comfortable expressing your opinions but I will not comment on my appearance. It’s a shame that someone would try to make a positive experience a negative one.
Tilly said, “This isn’t the first or last comment about my appearance. I accept it and am learning to accept myself.” Remember that words can be hurtful. And I’m only 19 and so grateful for all of the amazing opportunities I’ve been able to participate in.
“And I know that being in the public eye has its own repercussions. This was something I was aware of from a young age. I will not tolerate people who think it’s OK to publicly comment on anyone’s appearance or weight. Love Tilly xx’ She captioned the post ‘#bekind’.
Fans and other celebrities have shown their support for Steve since Tilly’s remarks about Steve.
Tilly was deeply touched by Dr Alex George of Love Island sending an email to LBC in which he expressed his shock at the comments.
