At 43 years old, a famous chef claims to have invent the world’s healthiest food. He has now died after suffering a heart attack.

Gurpareet Baains was a celebrity chef who also wrote several cookbooks on superfoods.

According to his management, the co-founder and CEO of Vedge Snacks was admitted after suffering a cardiac arrest last Thursday.

His spokesman said that he was able to regain consciousness the next day, but his kidneys had failed to function normally again. He died earlier this week from complications related heart disease and kidney failure.

The co-founder of Vedge Snacks, who lived in Enfield, London, was hospitalised following a heart attack last Thursday, his management have confirmed.

According to his management, the co-founder and CEO of Vedge Snacks was admitted after suffering a cardiac arrest last Thursday.

After introducing the “world’s most healthiest dish”, a chicken curry with blueberries, and goji-berry pilau in 2009, this chef made international headlines. 

According to the chef the dish is equivalent in antioxidants to 23 grape bunches.

A host of celebrity fans attended, including DJ Chris Evans and designer VivienneWestwood. 

One year after his debut book was published, Indian Superfood became a #1 bestseller.

Gurpareet, a nutritionist, also created the “world’s most healthiest cookie”, which is the nutritional equivalent to five bags of leafy vegetables.

Blueberry-flavoured Chikitsa Crumble contains five portions of fruit and vegetables. It is also said to lower cholesterol, Type 2 Diabetes, and improve heart health.

His cuisine concept combined antioxidant-rich spice with nutrients-dense fruits, vegetables, low-fat protein and nuts.

Other notable fans include the Duke and Duchess Of Gloucester, Dame VivienneWestwood, Chris Evans, and Dermot O’Leary.

Another claim to fame is inventing the best Christmas meal, anti-flatulence Indian curries for Valentine’s Day and a drink that cures hangovers.

Bains’s Guilt-Free Gala replaced festive traditional ingredients with superfoods. It contained only 930 calories. This is about one third the amount of a typical lunch. 

The meal includes roast turkey and potatoes with all the trimmings. There is also a starter of lobster and vegetables and dessert of rich fruit pudding and mascarpone cheese. 

He said, “As a nutritionist and chef, it’s difficult for people to choose healthy foods and navigate the maze of conflicting advice and diet recommendations.”

“The cookies are a great snack that cuts through all the noise and provides a low intake of fruits and vegetables. It’s amazing that these cookies have become so beloved.
