On Sunday, Halloween revellers from all over the UK showed off their scary streaks as they hit the pubs and clubs of the country in style.

As partygoers braved the rain to have some light-hearted fun, they used ghoulish face paint, bloody lips, and vampire teeth.

After many celebrations were cancelled last summer due to the Covid pandemic, thousands of young people made up the difference. The UK entered a second lockdown, but large areas of cities and towns were already in Tier 2 restrictions, which severely curtailed the opportunities for night outs.

London’s young people wore all manner of bold outfits, many of which were inspired by science fiction or hit shows like Netflix’s Squid Game.

It wasn’t all gore and demons, though. Some let their angelic side shine through, including a traveller wearing bold angel wings on the tube.

Others let their imagination run wild with costumes loosely based upon Halloween, with bunny-bunnies and bridezillas joining the partygoers.

Leeds’s weather did not stop hundreds of university students from cramming the bars in fancy dress.

Combining steampunk boots with corsets was a popular choice for the night, along with leopard print leotards or other outfits that were perfect for the dance floor.

Some people forgot to take their umbrellas, while others kept dry by hiding under their bags.

Many people walked along Guildhall Walk in Portsmouth, Hampshire to hit the bars and clubs. Many were dressed up for Halloween. 

The Astoria Nightclub, which is adjacent to Mr Miyagi’s bar, was the most popular. It had over 2000 people in it, including Love Island star Demi J. Jones and her friends. 

The street was crowded with police, and there were long queues for entry to the venues. There was also a lot of good behavior from the people. 

Redbull Vodka is the most loved drink at the Astoria. Five pallets Red Bull were delivered for the weekend. This included a staggering 17280 cans and hundreds more Vodka bottles for Halloween.

Londonderry, Northern Ireland hosted a three-day Halloween festival that attracted thousands of costumed revelers.

It culminated with a spectacular finale on Sunday. Drummers resembling the Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz gave a banging encore performance to end the party. 

Others displayed their creativity by dressing up as Native American chieftans or skeleton pirates.
