  • Residents filmed teenagers climbing over the metal fencing at Sandsfoot Castle, Dorset.
  • She doesn’t seem concerned by the danger of falling 30 feet below her.
  • The historic site has had increased police patrols because of late night parties

Here’s the most heartbreaking moment of all: a young girl crosses a top-of-a-ruined castle.

He was seen balancing at Sandfoot Castle in Weymouth (Dorset) and perched on top a crumbling wall.

She seems to not be worried about the danger of falling 30 feet below her.

The resident noticed the young lady as she scaled the metal fence to reach the castle.

The increase in patrols was due to teens climbing up and drinking on the ruin.

After dangerous cracks in the castle walls, Henry VIII closed the castle to the public to prevent France from invading it.

According to the resident who did not wish to be identified, they were at risk of ‘certain death’.

Sandfoot Castle, Dorset is protected by metal fencing and warning signs to warn people about falling masonry.

According to her, “It was just recently fenced off by the local authorities for safety reasons and this charming attraction has brought pleasure to many throughout the years.

“But it is becoming a venue for parties and thuggish behaviors, which are posing a danger not just to the individuals involved but also to castle structures.

It’s unsafe to enter, let alone top it.

“If one of these young people falls, it will almost certainly result in their death.

“They won’t be laughing when that happens, that’s for certain.”

She said that officers had failed to make contact with the teens and they fled as soon as they arrived.

“With parties and loud music being played at the castle’s base, as well as people watching from the top, it is getting more difficult,” she stated.

Heritage England announced recently that they have added the castle as a ‘at-risk’ item to their list because the historic landmark is continuing to decline.

Dorset Police spokesperson said behavior of this nature could result in severe injury and is clearly dangerous.

She stated that she would urge everyone to respect their surroundings and take the appropriate actions against those involved in antisocial behavior.

“Local police officers are well aware of the issues and will keep an increased number of patrols around them.”
