In the early hours of the morning, a Kent alleyway is used to rape a woman in her 20s.

  • At 1 a.m. this morning, a young girl was punched and raped by Sheerness, Kent.
  • The incident occurred in an alleyway that runs between Alma Road, Berridge Road. 
  • Police are searching for a heavily built, balding man wearing a grey hooded top. 
  • People in the area are encouraged to check dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage
  • According to police, the attacker was not believed to have known about his victim.










Police are looking for a man suspected of raping a female victim in Kent’s alleyways.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was attacked an hour before the clocks turned back last night.

Police say the attacker was a heavy build and was wearing a dark hooded jacket. 

The rape occurred in an alleyway that ran between Alma Road and Berridge Road, Sheerness in Kent.

Officers stated that they were looking at CCTV footage from cameras around the area.

Kent Police spokeswoman said: “We are appealing to information after a woman reported that she was raped at Sheerness alleyway.” The incident took place at approximately 1am today. 

“The suspect is white, with a heavy build and wearing dark grey hooded tops and light grey trousers. 

Kent Police Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber stated that they are conducting a number of investigations and have already seized a substantial amount of CCTV and gathered forensic proof.

“Stranger incidents are rare. We will ensure a thorough investigation and support the victim throughout the process.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area in early hours of today, to review any dashcams, doorbells or CCTV footage and contact me if they have images that can be used to assist us. 

‘Alternatively, anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or has any information regarding the incident can call the witness appeal line.
