Whitty is being knighted as England’s chief physician officer. Whitty has been a regular at Covid briefings in March 2020, serving the country’s primary medical advisor.

The rare Order of St Michael and St George will be presented to Daniel Craig (007), the most recent face of 007, which is usually reserved for diplomats and top spies.

Raducanu was a teenager tennis prodigy and is now expected to get an MBE. She became Britain’s first female Grand Slam Winner since Virginia Wade, who won Wimbledon in 1977.

The Mail on Sunday reported that Joanna Lumley will be made a Dame for the new year.

According to sources, the Absolutely Fabulous actress will be remembered for her campaigns in support of Gurkhas.

On Friday, the Honours List will be released. It is expected that it will include gongs to a variety of frontline workers as well as sportsmen and ladies.

Chris Whitty (55) already has another honor as Companion of the Order of the Bath, for his work in tropical medicine, both in the UKs and Africas.

Six petitions seeking to be made a Knight by the Chief Medical officer were submitted on the Government’s online page.

They were all rejected as backbenchers don’t have any say over who is eligible for a New Year’s Honour.

According to senior government sources, Whitty is dedicated to his role as England’s chief physician officer.

One shared his thoughts with the Sun, saying that Chris may sometimes appear dour but it was precisely what was needed during those dark days in lockdown.

“Chris is calm, unflappable and a reliable source of wisdom. He is deserving of his honor.

Daniel Craig will also be awarded a new title in recognition of his contributions to British theatre and film industry.

Craig’s character in James Bond is clearly reflected by the CMG. This rare honor normally only goes to top diplomats.

It won’t be Craig and Her Majesty’s first encounter. The famous 2012 filming of a short by Craig and Her Majesty for London Olympics featured Bond’s actor Bond jumping from a helicopter to the start ceremony.

Earlier this year, at least six petitions were shared on the Government's online parliamentary page pleading with MPs to make Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty a knight

Meanwhile, an MBE would cap off a dream year for Britain's newest sport star Emma Raducanu, who only sat her A-Levels during the summer

An MBE would be a fitting end to Emma Raducanu’s dream year as Britain’s new sport superstar. She only took her A-Levels in the summer.

An MBE would be a fitting end to Emma Raducanu’s year as Britain’s new sport superstar. She only took her A-Levels in the summer.

She won the US Open in September. This was her first win at a Grand Slam tennis tournament for women since Virginia Wade’s 1977 victory. But it was her style of winning that made this achievement so remarkable.

Raducanu (19 years old) showed her potential at Wimbledon by reaching the fourth round against Aja Tomljanovic before she was forced to pull out of her match with Aja Tomljanovic due to breathing problems.

But no one predicted the fairytale of New York which was about to unfold as she became the first qualifier ever to win a grand slam – and did so without even dropping a set.

Raducanu also won BBC Sports Personality the Year last week.

Now, she is one of Britain’s most prominent athletes. This puts her under pressure to continue the success story at Flushing Meadows.

Others stars, such as Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 Team that brought Italy to penalties and gave a boost to the country, will be recognized.

Describing British sports’ astonishing achievements over the past 12 months, one Whitehall insider told the Mirror: ‘In a year marred by Covid, these sporting heroes gave us a reason to be cheerful.

“It is right that they are rewarded for the extraordinary success.”

Ms. Lumley 75 already has an OBE. She was awarded it in 1995. Bafta-winning actress played Patsy Stone in Absolutely Fabulous, 1992 to 2012.

In films like Paddington 2 and Wolf Of Wall Street, she’s appeared since.

Her father, Major in the Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifle, was born in Kashmir, 1946. Her 2009 campaign was to give Gurkha veteran the right to settle here in the UK.

Over 200,000 Gurkhas (Nepalian) served in the British Army during the First and Second World Wars.

She also campaigns for animal welfare, and supports the Green Party.

In describing her OBE award from Queen Elizabeth in an interview recently, Ms. Lumley stated that she doesn’t recall much other than the beat of her heart as she walked up to take a step forward and then step back. She was trying to do all the right things.

She said that she was unable to recall anything about the Buckingham Palace lunch.

“It’s beautiful and friendly but not frightening. But it’s still scary to see the Queen.

The Queen is the queen. You can’t believe what you see when you look at someone you are so familiar with.

Ms Lumley published a book on the Queen that highlighted key moments from her reign of 70 years.

University of Chester awarded her an honorary degree in 2019 as recognition of her outstanding contribution to the arts.

Later this week, the full list will be made available.
