Kate Middleton looked elegant as she joined Prince William today to discover more about care during a visit at the Foundling Museum.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, appeared in high spirits as she arrived for her first in-person event of the year at the museum in London, which tells the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity which was founded in 1739 as a home for children whose mothers couldn’t keep or care for them.

The mother-of-three, who has been patron of the museum since 2019, offered a lesson in business chic as she stepped out for the event this morning, donning a black polo neck and recycling a long-line navy coat and her favourite pair of £130 Jigsaw trousers.

The royal, who wore her brown locks down in a loose curly blow dry, added a touch of glam to her outfit with a dazzling pair of £7 earrings from Accessorize.

The outing marked the first joint in-person appearance for the couple of 2022, with the pair appearing in good spirits as they arrived at the museum

This was the couple’s first in-person outing since 2022. They were in great spirits when they arrived at the museum.

The mother-of-three, who has been patron of the museum since 2019, offered a lesson in business chic as she stepped out for the event this morning, donning a black polo neck with dark wide-leg trousers and a long-line navy coat

Mother-of-three and patron of the museum for three years, the woman wore a black polo collar with wide-leg dark trousers and a navy long-line coat.

Natural beauty kept makeup simple, with only light blusher, nude-coloured lips and minimal mascara.

For this occasion, The Duchess chose to wear her most beloved pair of wide-legged trousers that she’s worn multiple times in the past year.

Kate is well-known for her mix of high-end designer pieces and street wear, so she also wore a set of trendy gold hoops by Accessorize, a cut-price online store.

Online, the earrings, which are part of a 3-for-2 offer and have recently been slashed in price to just £2, are described as ‘the perfect pairing to give your daytime look some chic appeal.’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the museum to find out more about care, and they’ll also meet representatives from the entire system.

This program provides training, mentoring programmes, and creative projects. The programs are led and developed in part by current artists, writers, and musicians to keep using creative action to improve the lives and transform the lives for care-experienced youth.

During their visit to the museum today, the Duke and Duchess will learn more about the care sector and meet representatives from across the system, including those with direct experience of living in care during their visit to the museum

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the museum to find out more about the sector. They’ll also meet representatives from the entire system.

Kate and William are expected to join an informal roundtable discussion on their arrival. It will feature experts and other stakeholders representing the entire sector. They will discuss the UK’s care system, as well as the difficulties young people who leave the care system face.

Through her work over the past decade the Duchess has seen first-hand how some of today’s hardest social challenges have their roots in the earliest years of a person’s life.

Kate is determined to raise awareness about the value of early childhood experiences, and to encourage collaboration in order to increase society’s outcomes.

After that, the couple will meet with people who have experienced the care system in their own lives and hear about their stories.

They include Lemn Sissay (author and poet), Kriss Akabusi (ex-track and field athlete) and Allan Jenkins (writer).

Kate has been a tireless advocate for the promotion of positive early childhood experiences as well as collaborative action, in order to enhance society’s overall outcomes.

Kate and William will also meet a group of young care leavers to hear about some of the challenges they have encountered, and the impact of the support and training they are receiving through the Foundling Museum’s Tracing Our Tales programme.

Tracing Our Tales was launched in October 2017 and is an innovative programme that aims to provide young people from London with skills for delivering workshops at Museums for families.

Paid employment is available and the programme teaches valuable life skills like public speaking, creative and critical thinking, people management and art. In 2017 and 2019, the Duchess visited the program.

The visit comes after a former staffer said the Royal Family is desperate for ‘conventional performers’ as it faces a difficult year  and Kate is ‘what these troubled times need’.

With Prince Andrew’s legal battles, as well as the Firm’s concerns over the imminent publication of Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir, the Duchess has been touted as playing a key role in shaping the future of the Monarchy.

‘As the Prince Andrew scandal shows, the monarchy is in desperate need of reassuringly conventional royal performers,’ Patrick Jephson, former chief of staff for Diana, Princess of Wales, told the New York Post.

‘Catherine is just what these troubled royal times need – it’s no exaggeration that the Windsors’ future lies in her hands.’

Bethan Holt (author of The Duchess of Cambridge : A Decade of Modern Royal Style) told The publication there was a campaign to make the Cambridges family’s “global stars”. She added that Kate’s calculated move to keep Diana’s memories alive is clever.

Katie Nicholls, royal biographer and expert, stated that Kate, 95, has ‘hugely valued’ Kate’s work and would rely on her “more than ever” amid royal scandals.

The biggest scandal facing the Firm at the moment is Prince Andrew’s upcoming civil case, after being accused of battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress by Virginia Giuffre.

She claims that she was forced to sleep with the Prince on three occasions by US paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell – the first time when she was 17 and under the legal age of consent under New York law.

The US judge denied the request of the prince to throw out his case for sex abuse. He now faces the possibility of being interrogated on video for 7 hours with embarrassing questions about everything related to his sex life.

His downfall has seen him stripped of his royal patronages ‘with the Queen’s approval and agreement’ leaving him to fight the sex abuse lawsuit in America as a private citizen.

Andrew has denied all allegations with vehementity.

Prince Harry’s memoir may be a stress factor for their family. Harry is currently in California living with Meghan, his 40-year-old wife, and their two children Archie and Lilibet. This year marks the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

He promised an “accurate” and “wholly truthful” account of his past, as well as writing about the man he is.

Prince Harry is vocal about what he calls the ‘total neglect’ of the royals since his retirement from royal life in march 2020.

After several TV appearances including The Winfrey interview and The Me You Can’t Seen for Apple TV, his memoirs provide a comprehensive look into his private life.

It is likely that Harry will include his home life in the aftermath of Diana and Prince Charles’ divorce.

After having been working on the manuscript for over a year, the prince will submit a manuscript. He promised that it would be an ‘accurate and truthful first-hand account’ of his life. The book is expected to be available in 2022.

The Royal Family members will have to be ready for The Crown series 5, which is currently filming on Netflix. This drama will depict a difficult time in the Royal Family’s recent history.

The Queen’s “annus horribilis” will be covered. This Latin term, which means terrible year in Latin, was used by her to describe three of her children’s marital collapses (Prince Charles to Princess Diana) and fire at her Windsor Castle home.
