An MP from Labour has been expelled from the House of Commons after it was alleged that he launched an anti-Brexit tirade in Westminster’s Strangers’ Bar.

Staunch Remainer Neil Coyle is accused of bawling ‘f**k you’ at a Labour aide who insisted that Brexit had worked out ‘fine’ for the UK.

And when a Tory MP tried to intervene to calm the row, Mr Coyle allegedly replied: ‘F**k off and lose some weight.’

43 year old Mr. Coyle was arrested for a second row at the Strangers’ Bar that day.

According to sources, Coyle was temporarily expelled from both the Commons (and the Lords) while an inquiry is done.

The row erupted on the very first day of the reopening of Strangers’ – Westminster’s famous Thames-side watering hole – for MPs and staffers after it was closed during the Covid pandemic.

Witnesses claim that Mr Coyle, well-known for his anti-Brexit views and expletive-laden tirade at an aide to Labour who said the party was wrong about Brexit, brought down the house Monday night.

According to them, the MP broke down after a Labour MP suggested that Brexit was not a disaster.

The aide is said to have added that Labour could have been spared its disastrous 2019 General Election –where it argued for a second referendum – if only it had taken a different position.

Mr Coyle then allegedly startled everyone in the bar by yelling: ‘F**k you! Which are the advantages of Brexit?

He was also said to have shouted: ‘Are you f**king insane?’

And when a backbench Tory MP attempted to defuse the row, Mr Coyle is said to have retorted with ‘f**k off’ , followed by a dig at the MP’s weight.

But just 24 hours later, Mr Coyle – MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark since 2015 – was apparently embroiled in another row in the same bar.

Sources said the two incidents led to a complaint being lodged, followed by a decision by the Sergeant at Arms – the Commons’ senior official – to issue the temporary bar ban on the MP.

The House of Commons refused to speak when asked. They stated only that Parliament had “zero tolerance” for harassment and abuse.

According to the spokesperson, “Parliament’s Behaviour Code outlines the behaviour standards expected of all members of Parliament, including staff, members of House of Lords and MPs.”

He also stated that “The Behaviour Cod is supported by Independent Complaints and Grievances Scheme” (ICGS), which allows the investigation into allegations of bullying, harassment, or sexual misconduct.

For comment, Mr. Coyle couldn’t be reached.

But in 2020, he was forced to apologise over a now-deleted tweet which effectively branded Tory Brexiteers ‘fat old racists’ and ‘absolute sh***bag racist w*****s’.

The tirade was started after he got into an argument about BBC’s decision to show only instrumental versions Rule, Britannia! Land Of Hope And Glory (and omit lyrics) at The Last Night Of The Proms.

He later apologized, saying that his tweet fell short of the standards he set for himself and those that Keir Sternmer (Keir Starmer) expected me to meet’.

Labour spokesperson stated last night that they expect the best behaviour from their MPs, and take all allegations against them very seriously.
