Lady Pamela Hicks (92), Lord Mountbatten’s daughter has told how her father, affectionately known as “Dickie”, once drove the beauty of society out for an ice-cream and took her on a drive, just to make a joke about her.

In an Instagram video, India Hicks shared the following: Lady Pamela recalls Margaret as “not likable” but was very pretty when she was a child.
“My papa” [Louis Mountbatten]Because she was so beautiful, I took her on a ride in the car. The cornet was too expensive for her to get ice cream.
‘He was just a young boy, and he had this terrible schoolboy sense humor. As she was about to give him the cornet, he applied the brake.
“This beautiful smile was covered in icecream.” He never spoke to her again, of course!
Lady Pamela Hicks is the daughter of Lord Mountbatten, and she shared her story with India, who at 92 was a comedian about how her father took her for a drive, along with an ice-cream, to once play jokes on her. India shared her story via a video.
Margaret was born 1912. She is the only child to a Scottish millionaire. She welcomed, among other people, Noel Coward the playwright, Cary Grant, and J Paul Getty, an oil tycoon, to her Mayfair residence.

After meeting Ian Douglas Campbell in Paris’s Gare Du Nord station, 1949, Margaret married Ian Douglas Campbell. He pursued her with relentless determination, realizing that she was very wealthy and his personal estate was not worth anything.
He was then married to his second wife.
