Lottery punter who won £3.6million jackpot will lose the money if they don’t claim it by TUESDAY

The National Lottery began 2019 with its Set for Life Competition.

Camelot, an operator, announced the plan in September 2013 after a slumping in ticket sales.

It hoped that it would reverse the drop in sales after 2015, when winning the jackpot became more difficult.

Camelot’s decision of increasing the number of balls to 59 from 49 has reduced the chance of winning the jackpot to one in 14million to one to 59million.

So it introduced the new annuity’ game, which is designed to pay out over an extended period.

Set for Life: Players choose five numbers between one and 47, and a Life Ball between one to 10.

Prizes start at £5 for matching two numbers. If five numbers are matched without a Life Ball, the winner gets £10,000 a month for one year.

If players match every number and their Life Ball, then they are paid £10,000 a month for three decades.

If a person passes away before their time is up, the winnings will be paid to their estate.
