  • Garlick was reportedly asked for his departure after he had followed the female victim. 
  • He is also accused of later attacking her as she walked back from home on the streets. 










A man has been charged with intoxicating a woman at a bar, then raping her on the street. 

Police charged Dale Garlick (29), with raping and spiking a woman at a Manchester-based bar. 

Garlick was reportedly asked by his victim to leave because he had been following her while she was drinking at a Stalybridge club. 

Later, he was accused of attacking her as she walked back home from work.

Garlick was reportedly asked by his victim to leave after he followed her while she was drinking in a Stalybridge club (town centre pictured).

Garlick was denied bail and remanded into custody after he appeared before Tameside Magistrates Court, Manchester, on Wednesday. 

He is expected face Minshull Street Crown Court during December. 

Greater Manchester Police reported that they received a report from a woman in September stating that her drink had been spiked during a night out in Stalybridge, and she had been raped.
