His solicitor stated that a man who was charged with the murder of his mother 19-years ago and failed to appear in court has been found dead in Spain.
Sean Flynn, 37 years old, was to be tried at the High Court of Livingston. He was accused of killing Louise Tiffney. However, he didn’t appear.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday, according to a court official.
Ms. Tiffney (43), vanished after she moved from her home in Dean Path to Edinburgh in May 2002.
Her remains were found in April 2017 near a Longniddry stately home, East Lothian.
Flynn is accused of murdering his mother and trying to get rid of the justice system by putting her body into the back of a car and driving to a wooded area to dispose of it.
His lawyer stated that Flynn had denied the charges at a January hearing.
Due to travel restrictions caused by coronavirus, the 38-year-old woman, whose address was given in Berlin, Germany, didn’t attend the hearing at Glasgow High Court.
Aamer Aamer, his solicitor, said in a statement that Sean Flynn, 37, who was not present for trial for the murder Louise Tiffney 19 year ago, was according the police found dead after taking his own death.
He stated that Flynn lived in Berlin until recently.
“Any loss of life, Sean Flynn’s next-of-kin has been informed, and there will not be any further comment.
