United were held to a 1-1 draw at the beginning of the month by Everton, and then were defeated 4-2 by Leicester last Saturday.

Solskjaer’s team found themselves trailing Atalanta by 2-0 at half time in their Champions League group clash in midweek. However, they turned the tide and won 3-2 in the second period.

However, United were decimated by Jurgen Klopp’s home side on Sunday to put pressure on Solskjaer.

Gary Neville, a former United defender, insists that Solskjaer should not be fired and his coaching staff should not be dismissed following the 5-0 defeat.

After United was dismantled, Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness spoke on Sky Sports. They did not call for the Norwegian to lose their job, but suggested that he should surround himself by better coaches.

Neville urged Red Devils to resist wholesale changes and stressed that United’s main problem was not off the pitch, but on it.

‘On pitch, it’s just not good enough. He said that he was a manager for four month and had a horrible time. This will put immense pressure on him.

Daniel Farke, Norwich’s manager in the Premier League, is second favourite (7/1) after his side are still without a league victory in nine since Saturday’s 7-0 thrashing of Chelsea.

Claudio Ranieri, Watford’s boss, has just taken over at Vicarage Road. Dean Smith, Aston Villa boss, is at 11/1.

Nuno Espirito Sante, Tottenham’s under-pressure boss, is now at 12/1 odds of being relieved of his duties, despite losing to West Ham 1-0 on Sunday. This comes just days after his Spurs side were beaten in the Europa Conference League by Vitesse.
