This worker shared an now viral TikTok video that explained how McDonald’s uses 2 types of onions to make its menu items. 

This clip was made by TikTok user ‘Macca’s Myths’. It shows that burgers can be made from large, sliced onion and dried onions.

Employee uses the platform for frequently asked questions concerning McDonald’s.

“At Macca’s we have two kinds of onions. The employee stated that large onions have been dehydrated and cut into pieces.

According to the TikToker, the onions must be soaked in water overnight and covered with a lid before being draining the next day.

Daily Mail Australia believes that dehydrated onions are used to make Big Macs, cheeseburgers, and hamburgers. All other McDonald’s products containing onions come from local sources. 

The video became viral in just four days and has been viewed more than 271,000 times.

One person said that he preferred diced onions to slivered onions. Another added, “The diced onions taste so delicious though.”

I rehydrate onions flakes at home to make hamburgers because it tastes just like McDonald’s. A third was added.
