Democrats should be scared today. Glenn Youngkin’s victory is nothing short of a bloodbath to Democrats. But, what is perhaps more dangerous for the left? The winning path he has shown the rest the Republican party going into the midterms and 2024 general elections.
Youngkin’s historic win is significant because of many factors. But let’s first look at the context. Virginia is a reliably swing state. Virginia was won by President Biden with a score of 10 points.
Both 2008 and 2012 saw President Obama win Virginia. Hillary Clinton won it 2016! This is not a red state by any political analyst’s metric and many of the citizens of the state of Virginia have been reliable democratic voters for a very long time….up until today.
What has happened? It is the revenge of the parents, in the simplest terms.

What has happened? It is the revenge of the parents in the simplest form possible. Supporters of Glenn Youngkin, Republican nominee for Governor in Virginia, hold up the ‘Parents For Youngkin’ sign
It’s the culmination of the past eighteen months of teachers unions shutting down schools and refusing to reopen them, the rise and spread of Critical Race Theory, the scandal of a girl’s rape in a bathroom by a boy wearing a skirt and the subsequent coverup by the teachers’ board, of parents being called ‘domestic terrorists’ for daring to dissent and finally Terry McAullif’s (pictured on election night) tone-deaf comment that ‘parents shouldn’t be involved in the classroom

All of it has led to a historic win, an historic wave of red – The Red Wedding of all Republican election wins.
Many of us on right wondered when the woke left would reach too far. What bridge could be built so that the American public wakes up and realizes how dangerous it is for children to be taught that America is a pit of racism, and that their future will be determined by their skin color?
Now we know. It took me less than I had expected. And as of today, a new voting demographic has emerged – Parent Power.
Of course, there are other factors. Biden’s administration has set itself ablaze and is threatening independent voters in every way it can.
Biden’s administration is on fire, and bleeding independent voters every way it can. Biden listens as the speakers speak during the World Leaders Summit “Accelerating Clean Technology Innovation and Deployment” session, which took place on day three of COP26.
American citizens who have filled up their gas tanks or bought groceries in recent months will notice that inflation is on the rise.
Democrats seem to have the only solution to all problems facing America: to write a huge check. This is ideally weighted towards buying their coalition of minorities, but which will invariably bankrupt my grandchildren.
Virginia’s Youngkin, a qualified candidate, was a big help. His strengths on the campaign trail only grew with the election.
In contrast, McAuliff got worse and worse and doubled down into the same woke spiral that took out so many of the Democrat’s presidential candidates.
I’ve said it before, and I will repeat it again: There is data, focus groups, and certifiable evidence in primary and general election that the American public does not like nor buy this far left, progressive woke agenda.
Why, then, do Democrats keep running on it to their own total demise? It is a recipe of abject failure, and obscurity.
If Democrats continue to run campaigns for MSNBC, they are doomed. Instead, they should be running campaigns for the American people.
Youngkin’s historic win is a remarkable one. There are many lessons to be learned. Yet as things stand, Biden’s natural successor, Kamala Harris would likely double down even further.
Virginia’s election was a referendum not only on many things, but also on how badly America has turned towards President Biden, and his far left radical, progressive minions.
McAuliff sent every Democrat big shot to Virginia to campaign with him – President Obama and Vice President Harris.
None of them worked. None of it made any difference. Because they all signed up for the same progressive fantasies.
Obama claimed that the culture wars in schools were a fabrication of the Republicans.
As a Virginia parent, I am glad to have felt the sense of community around our children during the campaign. I also welcome the protection that this election will at the very least provide.
I am optimistic that Youngkin, the future Governor, will not let us down. Terry McAuliff will be forgotten in the dustbin of failed campaigns. He is responsible for his own actions and the woke agenda that he supported.
No doubt Trump will try to take the credit for this win but, in reality, Youngkin kept his distance from former President and, despite Democrats trying to scare voters with him at every turn, the Orange Bogeyman wasn’t enough to scare them into voting blue regardless
His rotting political body should be a warning to Democrats: Do not mess around with mothers, children, or families. It will endanger your chances of success.
Above all, Virginia proved that it’s not enough to tie all Republicans to President Trump and hope the stigma sticks. It doesn’t work.

So far, despite the utter shambles that marked the Trump’s political demise, most Republicans have been cowed by the idea that their party cannot win without cleaving to his primacy.
Virginia should prompt many Republican candidates to ask themselves if the Biden Democrats are so toxic to voters that they could win the mid-term elections without pandering for the ego of Mar a Lago.
This is where it gets really exciting.
