Love Island superfan sisters have reacted after being called’repulsive” for dressing their toddlers in the same way as reality star couple Tommy Fury (Molly-Mae Hague) and Tommy Fury (Tommy Fury).

Full time mothers Amie, 26, and Kathleen Coady, 33, from County Limerick, Ireland, entered their three-year-old tots Eileen McMhron and William Morey, into an online costume competition on Sunday, splashing out almost £100 to style them as their reality TV idols.

Twitter shared some sweet photos of the pair holding hands, kissing each other on one cheek, and the other standing straight-faced. Finally, the two smile while crouching down to take candid shots.

After being criticized by Twitter users for dressing their children in ‘freakish’ ways, the loving mothers were forced to defend their photos as if they were ‘their own choices’.

William’s mom Amie retorted, saying: “They’re our children and that’s why we decided to dress them as and they were happy with it.” William enjoys boxing so it was a joy to dress up as a boxer.

“If someone wants to dress up their children in another costume, that’s their choice. We did dress them in other costumes, but we wanted to do something a little more.

“I know they were dressed up as a couple, but they’re just little cousins. They’re so close.

Photographs of Eileen showed her wearing light, ripped jeans, a green shirt tied at the waist, trainers, and a Louis Vuitton-style bag with her hair in a messy bun.

The mini model even posed for a photo with her cuddly elephant, Ellie Belly, which became famous for its appearance on Love Island.

William’s black hair was finished to match the boxer look.

The tots’ trainers cost around £15 each, while both their tops and trousers set the mums back around £60 in Zara and Next.

The Love Island superfan sisters hit back after being branded 'repulsive' for dressing their toddlers (seen) as kissing reality star couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury

After being called’repulsive” for dressing their toddlers (seen here), the Love Island superfan sisters reacted by slamming reality star couple Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.

Amie revealed: ‘We showed the kids pictures of Tommy and Molly-Mae beforehand so they knew who they were, they were happy to do it.

“We had to organize the clothes a few days before. It was quite inexpensive. My sister even managed Molly-Mae’s cuddly elephant Ellie Belly.

‘The pictures were really cute. My youngest sister got them both to pose because if I tried, there’s no way he would do it. But he listened and did it.

“We were talking about Halloween and we suggested that they dress up as Tommy and Molly-Mae because we are big Tommy fans. We also saw them on Love Island.

The tots won the first prize in a Facebook competition for their controversial costumes on Monday. The family was eager to share their photos and celebrate their win.

However, many people criticised their choice of postings on Twitter. More than 20,000 people “liked” a tweet that slammed the mums.

One user tweeted, “I hate it when parents force costumes onto their children without asking them what they want to wear.” They are unable to identify these people.

@dov97 commented: “I hate this place.” The tiny man wanted to be a dinosaur.

Another commenter added: “It’s strange that adults have two brothers dressed upas a married couple.” Poor children should have something cute and fun.

Amie insists Kathleen and her dressed them in Spiderman costumes. They also enjoyed traditional costumes.
