This clip shows panda twins cuddling each other, from cub-sized cubs to two-month-olds. It was recorded in Madrid (Spain) during their outgrowing an incubator.
They were both born on September 6, at Madrid Zoo Aquarium in Spain.
The footage shows the cubs at just twenty days old tentatively cuddling each other in the incubator with barely any hair.
The footage then shows one of the cubs being carried on the back of a man. This is before the footage of the twins, who are already looking chubby with fur after forty days.
This video concludes with the cubs being photographed with their mother Hua Zui Ba and then being weighed by the woman at the Zoo.
The babies will alternate spending their time with their mothers in the enclosure and in the crib at the zoo.
According to the zoo, “In these two months progressive growth vital to develop immune system and thermoregulate themselves by themselves, the little Pandas no longer require an incubator. They are fully covered with black and white fur typical of their species.”
Two months ago, the cubs were born at the Zoo. The cubs now have passed their most sensitive period in development.
Because they are no longer incubated, their routine will allow them to spend time together in the enclosure or in the crib in the zoo.
“The transformations in the last 60 days have been amazing,” said the zoo.
“From their delicate, pink appearance to the 171.4- and 137.4g they weighed at birth.
“They’ve become magnificent giant pandas who weigh between 3.1 and 2 kilograms. They open their eyes to show their finest features such as their thumbs which they use to grasp bamboo canes with, their palms.
“At just two months, their incubators are too small. The enclosure will allow them to transition to outside temperatures after two weeks of adjusting.
