Travis Scott wanted us to understand that he is ‘just devastated” by the tragic deaths of eight fans who attended his concert Friday.
In an agonizing Instagram photo, the Rap Star repeatedly rubbed his scalp in apparent pain and said that he couldn’t think of anything similar.
Scott, aged 30, was adamant about the catastrophe that occurred during his performance at Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas.
The scene was so horrific that hundreds of spectators were left with injuries after Scott’s appearance at 9pm. It led to panic and despair, which ultimately resulted in the deaths of eight individuals aged 14-27.
Video posted to social media shows concertgoers screaming out for help and asking Scott’s producers to stop the show!
Later, fans spoke out about their terror.
Nick Johnson (17 years old) said that it was “like hell”. “Everybody was trying to get to the front, but they were all in the back.”
Chris Leigh (23) said, “People literally grabbed and pinched at my body trying get up from the floor.” I was fighting for my existence; there was no other way.
Scott performed throughout all of this.
Fan video of him looking directly at an unconscious fan is shown in one.
Travis Scott wanted us to be aware that he is ‘just devastated” by the tragic deaths of eight fans during Friday’s concert. In an incomprehensible Instagram post on Friday night, Scott showed his pain by repeatedly brushing his hair. He said that he couldn’t have imagined anything similar. Scott kept performing throughout this.
Scott shouts to the crowd “I want to hear some rages” in a clip on social media. Is there anyone who wants to rage? But then he looks around and sees an ambulance. Before continuing his singing, it was only a matter of seconds.
The city officials stated that the show had started 40 minutes earlier. It was too late for any life-saving measures.
If I seem to find Scott’s stunned disbelief to just be disingenuous self defense claptrap, please forgive me. There was only one guarantee that Scott would be a victim to something like this at his concert. Live performances are chaotic and full of chaos for this man
Scott shouts to the crowd in another clip: “I want to witness some rages.” Are you ready to get raped? But then, just moments later, he spots an ambulance entering the arena. He says “There is an ambulance in there,” before continuing singing a few more seconds later.
After city officials declare that a “mass casualty” had occurred, the show ends only 40 minutes later.
The time was already too late to save lives.
Pardon me if you find Scott’s disbelief disingenuous.
There was only one guarantee that something like this would ever happen to him at one of his concerts.
A man who loves chaos, mayhem and live shows.
Trent Clark, HipHopDX editor in-chief, said to the Associated Press: “Travis Scott’s whole aesthetic revolves around rebellion.” The shows are full of violence. The death of punk rock has led hip-hop to adopt and model the new generation mosh pits. You will often see Travis Scott’s show filled with crowds, rage or completely wild behavior.
Scott can also encourage wild crowd behavior.
In fact, his 2018 hit “Stargazing” featured him rapping: “It ain’t a Mosh Pit if ain’t no injuries.
He was convicted of two misdemeanors because he illegally encouraged his followers to ignore safety protocol.
Scott, who urged Lollapalooza attendees to climb over safety barriers at Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival, pleaded guilty in 2015 to reckless conduct.
“All my real ragers are jumping the barricade!” Scott yelled. Scott yelled. “Let’s go!” Scott yelled. Let’s go. You want chaos.
He was able to achieve his goal as thousands of people stormed past the barricades heading towards the stage. The quick response by safety officers was enough to prevent a disaster.
At the time, the Office of Emergency Management stated that the performer had played just one song and was then telling the fans to get over the barricades. The security team quickly responded and the situation was resolved immediately. No fans were hurt.
Scott was given a year’s supervision by the court.
A video has resurfaced showing rapper Travis Scott encouraging a crowd to ‘f**k up’ a fan who attempted to take his trainers while he crowd surfed in Switzerland. Pictured: A grab from the video taken at the OpenAir Festival in St. Gallen, Switzerland in 2015
In 2017, Scott once again encouraged his fans to rush the stage and bypass security at a concert at the Walmart Music Pavilion in Arkansas. Scott was charged with disorderly conduct after several people, including security officers and police officers, were hurt in the stampede. He also paid $7,465.31 to pay his fine.

In 2017, however, he encouraged his audience to grab the stage quickly and ignore security for a concert at Arkansas’ Walmart Music Pavilion.
Scott, a police officer and security guard were among the many people who were hurt in the stampede. He pleaded guilty for disorderly conduct, paying a fine of $7,465.31 and pleading guilty to it.
Scott had a friend tell him to hang from the balcony and jump at Terminal 5 New York City.
“I see that you are a good person, but how can you do it?” Scott shouted at Scott, stopping the show. He ordered everyone to turn on the house lighting so they could all see it. They’re gonna catch them. Do not be afraid Do not be afraid!
Kyle Green, 27, was left partially paralyzed at a Travis Scott show after Scott encouraged another fan to jump off a balcony. Travis Scott could have prevented Friday’s tragic deaths, Green says.
The fan did indeed jump, safely, into the crowd but in the hysterical reaction that ensued – in video of the incident, one fan can be heard pleading ‘I don’t wanna die in here’ – another man Kyle Green was forced over the edge of the balcony, which he called ‘severely crowded.’
He has a number of broken bones and vertebrae.
Howard Hershenhorn was Green’s attorney. He said that his client is ‘heartbroken” by Friday’s events in Houston. And that Travis would have learned from his mistakes and changed his approach to inciting others to act in such reckless ways.
Julian Kimble of the Washington Post was a Washington Post music journalist who witnessed Scott openly challenge safety protocol.
“I have heard him say things like, “Don’t listen security.” You can forget security. This is for you. This is for you, the fans. Let’s take last night as an example. It shows how bad things can get. It’s not uncommon for people to be negligent. There isn’t one culprit or bad guy. This is a structural and societal failure that has led to the events of today.
This is true. However, we must wait to see the full results of an investigation in order to find out what went wrong with emergency response.
We don’t have to do an investigation to find out that Travis Scott created a concert environment where safety protocol are not respected.
His reaction to the event was not surprising, nor could anyone else.
Scott suffered from injuries, danger crowd surges, and other issues at past Astroworld performances. Troy Finner the Houston police chief, visited Scott earlier in day to warn him of potential crowd issues.
Two-day festival organizers also had prepared a 56 page contingency plan. It was published to The New York Times.
There was no surprise in the crowd’s reaction, it was just shocking on the scale.
Scott said in his Instagram video, “My followers mean the world” and stated that they are very important to Scott. He also expressed gratitude for their support.
While he was saying this, video from his previous show showed him encouraging an abusive fan to get beaten for trying to steal his shoes.
Danish Baig (27), died at Travis Scott’s Astroworld. He had saved a relative in the Friday stampede, according to his brother. Franco Patino, 21 (right), also died, the University of Dayton said
Franco Patino, a University of Dayton student (left), was there with Jacob Jurinek (20 years old), They both died in the crush
Brianna Rodriguez, 16, (left) was a dancer and junior in high school. Rodolfo ‘Rudy’ Pena, 23,(right) was an aspiring model and dreamed of one day being a US Border Patrol agent. His death was caused by cardiac arrest.
John Hilgert was 14, and was among eight who were killed in the ferocious crush at Houston’s Astroworld Festival on Friday. Axel Acosta was 21 years old and had traveled to Houston from Washington in order to see the festival. This was his first concert. After being unable to identify Axel, cops took a photograph of him and shared it with the public.
The ugly scene reveals Scott’s dark side.
He should have shown the same fierce approach to safety as he showed to his own shoes.
As Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said yesterday: ‘The one person who can really call for and get a tactical pause when something goes wrong is that performer,’ he said. They have the bully pulpit, and they also have to take responsibility. If somebody would have said, ‘Hey, shut this thing down and turn on the lights until this thing gets corrected’ — and that coming from the person with the mic — I think could have been very helpful.’
Scott didn’t do this. Too busy he was encouraging and having an excessive amount of rage.
In reality, two members of his team came onto the stage to inform him about the events. He waved them off and encouraged the crowd to do the “ground shake.”
Scott waved to the crowd, saying, ‘I love you’all.’ The concert continued for about half an hour. Get home safely. Good Night!
But eight fans never made it home.
However, Kylie Jenner, his girlfriend was seen getting escorted away by large groups of security guards to make sure she got home safely.
Scott was far too involved in encouraging and having a rage. Scott was actually too involved in the madness to notice that two of his friends came up on the stage to inform him. He waved them off and encouraged the audience to do the “ground shake.” Scott waved to the crowd, saying, ‘I love you’all.’ The concert continued for about half an hour. Get home safely. It’s been a great night. But eight fans never made it home
Kylie Jenner, center in black mask was seen getting sneaked away by large groups of security guards. This was to make sure she got out safely.
Scott said, “If everybody is good, put one finger up towards the heavens.”
This video features many people extending their fingers towards the sky.
This also depicts the ambulance at the center of all the others, caring for the dying.
Travis Scott has always extended his hand to security and safety of the crowd for many years.
It was a tragic accident that Friday night resulted from his reckless approach to fan welfare.
It’s easy to pretend that he is shocked, but he can’t believe what happened.
However, these are not the words of a man who now faces civil and possible criminal court action. He is desperate to not be held responsible for crowd behavior that his incendiary rhetoric over many years has encouraged.
Travis Scott has his blood on his extended middle finger, which is stained by the blood of his fans.
